Petrilli's Pizza — Restaurant in Upland

A lot of people have recommended Petrilli's Pizza to us. My husband ordered a large Petrili's Specialty Pizza over the phone. The pizza is actually a rectangle shape and not a circle. When we got there, it was ready. Customer service was on point and friendly and everyone wore masks and following safety protocols.

The pizza itself is definitely a thing of beauty; so big and so many toppings. I don't even know how much it weighed, but it's so heavy.

Onto the pizza itself. The crust was incredibly hard, which I get so that it can hold up all those toppings. My jaw starting hurting from all the chewing and my husband laughed at me and said he was thinking the same thing. All the meat toppings were also overly salty for my taste. Overall, even with the impressive amount of toppings, I was still craving for sauce or more flavor from the sauce.

After putting the pizza in the fridge and eating it the next day, the crust definitely softened a bit (got soggier) so it was more manageable to chew.

I took my 85 year old mom to her Dr. appointment, then asked where she'd like to go for dinner. She said she was hungry for pizza, so I looked at the map app for the nearest pizza shop. Petrelli's was around the corner, so off we went. She ordered the small supreme, and I got the small meat lovers. We both figured we would eat our fill and maybe have a slice or two to eat later. WRONG!!! First off, when I went to the counter to collect our food, my first thought was that these were the heaviest small pizzas I ever held! Second, at our table, we saw that they were the tallest topped pizzas we ever had! In short, even after giving a slice of mine to mom to try, I barely finished half the pizza. It was delicious, but there was so much meat on it! Mom didn't even get half of hers eaten. I dropped her off at her place with her leftovers and went home with mine. I ate 2 more slices for a late night snack and the rest for dinner the next night. From a SMALL pizza! 3 delicious meals from a SMALL pizza!!! Yup, I'll be going...

This place has about 4.5 stars on yelp which is what prompted me to call and pick up a pizza to go! Upon my arrival I saw a few people come and go and they seemed very happy and excited with the box they were holding in their hand. So I just knew without a doubt, I’d too be smiling once I went in and picked up my pizza! He called my name, I went up to the counter, he opens the box and BOOM....I’m hit with the smell of pepperoni, mushroom, cheese, sauce I mean I was like ok, ok it’s about to go down! Get home, grab a plate so I get this pizza party started! Took my first bite....and im like OH NOooooooooo I bite into some chewy, doughy, bread that was cooked but thick!
