This is a long one, will list story at end, this encounter caused me to stop reviewing everything for a month. Overall the food is good, crispy tacos are very good. Prices are very high, dinner for 2, cheese enchilada, soft taco, rice and beans (beans fine, rice okay) and a dry Asada burrito (no drinks) will be $28, which is way too high. This location is in an industrial complex on Benson, south of Foothill. Location seems fine, but for that price the bathroom, seating, everything should be in excellent condition. It is simply okay. Honestly, its value is an $8 burrito and an $11 2 item plate. $20 is what you would expect to pay. Location is easy enough to get to, not near anything, local joint. Staff are interesting, go from bad to awesome, they use calculators so get a receipt and double check their numbers. For my first visit I wanted a cheese enchilada and a soft taco with rice and beans and an asada burrito. I explained when placing my to-go order that I wanted a soft taco not a hard taco, but didn't see that combination listed. Waitress who took my order said it was a #16, but with a soft taco instead. I also ordered a dry asada burrito. I payed for my order and received it quickly enough. As I drove home I realized I paid $30, but couldn't figure how that was correct. I checked my order at home: asada burrito, soft taco, cheese enchilada, side of rice and beans. Small taco, enchilada, burrito, and sides aren't big either. Look at the numbers (I take pictures for my review, you can see what I received too) and they must have charged me for a #16, burrito and soft taco. I call immediately, ask for a manager and am told there is not one there. I head in a while later, explained the situation, and a very wonderful waitress assisted me, I had my statement showing what I was charged, showed her the food from that day. She calculated it out, but couldn't figure why it was still over by about a $1. I don't know what the issue is, but I was over charged, and a crispy taco would about cover it by my figuring. She had one made immediately, offered me a free beverage twice while I waited, declined, and that fixed the issue for me. Annoying, but fixed enough to my satisfaction. So if you go, check your bill, take the recipt and do not leave until you verify you got what you ordered. You may get a wonderful person helping you, or you may not. I likely will not return, the crispy tacos were great, would consider going back for those, but prices are just way too high to make this a place I would frequent. Were this the best Mexican food place I know of, even then the prices would...
Read moreI have dined at Pueblita for over 10 years off and on. I've watched it expand in size(open an additional side) and change of staff. The food is acceptable...not as good as its "old days." Today I ordered menudo for take-out by phone. The guy who took my 9 a.m. order seemed rushed and just did NOT listen. I ordered "a 1/2 gallon" of menudo with extra meat. When I arrived for pick-up, only the quart quantity was prepared. I ordered by phone because I did not want to wait. This guy did NOT seem to understand what "a 1/2 gallon" is and reprimanded me for NOT ordering the quatity listed on the menu. I was tempted to walk out. UNBELIEVABLE! When I arrived there was no one in the restaurant, and there was no reason for his failure to listen carefully and prepare my order correctly. I recommend Pueblita work on this and understand that customer service is important if such an establishment is to thrive. I was offended by his reprimand about my not ordering the quantity "as listed on the menu." It's his fault that he doesn't know what "gallon" means. They had no problem understanding their charge of $37.00 for the two "quart" containers I eventually got; he should be able to understand what 1/2 gallon means as it relates to the serving size they list on their menu. This confusion and poor customer service made the meal less enjoyable, and we will likely order menudo from Pueblita's less often. It's not as good as it used...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with the service provided by the waitress, Susy S. I arrived around 9:10 AM and noticed that there were only three tables occupied. Despite this, she took an order from one table and then another without even acknowledging my presence. After the second table, I was still waiting to be seated and not even greeted. I tried to be patient, assuming she was busy.
When I finally approached her to request a seat, she responded in a condescending manner, rolling her eyes, which was completely uncalled for. Eventually, I was seated, but she did not offer me water, chips, or salsa. I received a menu but watched as other tables received their food while I was ignored.
After some time, she returned and said she would be right with me, but I had to inform her that I was ready to order. I requested chilaquiles, and although I had to ask for water, her demeanor remained rude and unprofessional. When she brought the chips and salsa, she tossed them onto the table rather carelessly.
Finally, my food was brought to me just before 10:00 AM, and she slid it onto the table without even a courtesy of saying thank you. This kind of service is unacceptable. Overall, my experience was marked by a lack of professionalism and courtesy, which is extremely...
