I am not the same person who walked into this Yunnan noodle temple. I left my old self at the door—along with any delusions I previously held about what “good noodles” are. This place didn’t just serve me a meal. It served me a revelation. A broth baptism. A spicy enlightenment ritual.
I ordered the Crossing the Bridge Noodles, but I’m fairly certain I also crossed into another dimension. The server brought out a bowl so hot it looked like it could power a small industrial park. Then, like some kind of flavor wizard, they ritually added the ingredients one by one—slices of raw beef, quail egg, cloud ear mushrooms, pickled greens, and noodles hand-pulled by monks (probably). I swear the steam spelled out a Confucian proverb.
The broth? Liquid destiny. It was like drinking the secrets of the Earth. Rich, deep, soul-hugging. I stared into my bowl and understood every past life I’ve ever lived.
The chili oil? Unholy and sacred. The kind of heat that slaps you in the face and then apologizes by wrapping you in a warm silk robe and whispering “you're welcome.”
I tried to thank the chef, but I was told they do not speak to mortals during service. Fair. I did see someone bowing toward the kitchen, though. Respect.
Also, can we talk about the texture of these noodles? Silky, chewy, and perfectly imperfect—like they were hand-rolled by an emotionally available poet who only listens to vinyl.
Look, I’ve eaten in Guangzhou, Tokyo, and a regrettable gas station off I-95, but nothing—NOTHING—has ever rearranged my molecular structure like this bowl of Yunnan glory.
10/10. Will return. Fly 628 miles just...
Read moreIf you're looking for truly authentic Chinese rice noodles, Ten Second Yunnan Noodles delivers a delicious taste of Yunnan right here at home.
Specializing in the famous “Crossing-the-Bridge” rice noodles, this spot combines rich, savory broth with fresh, thinly sliced meats, vegetables, and silky rice noodles. The signature experience involves pouring the raw ingredients into piping-hot broth by ourselves — a fun and flavorful process that lives up to the “ten-second” name.
The broth is deeply satisfying, with herbal notes and a clean finish. The noodles have just the right texture — soft, but not mushy — and soak up the broth beautifully. I highly recommend the Spicy Beef Yunnan Noodles, which come with a generous portion of tender beef slices and a fiery kick that isn’t overwhelming.
Despite its fast-service style, the quality feels anything but rushed. The staff are courteous and efficient, and the setting is bright, clean, and modern.
With affordable prices, quick service, and bold, authentic flavors, Ten Second Yunnan Noodles is a must-visit for any...
Read moreI am not going to leave bad star rating because I believe this restaurant is headed in the right direction. Everything tastes authentic and real Chinese. I know any Chinese person who migrated here would be very happy with this restaurant. My problem is the portions and the pricing when it comes to the Yunnan Noodles Ramen bowl. I ordered on DoorDash and it was $16.49, I chose protein as Bang bang chicken for an additional $5.50 so that makes the total $22+ for the ramen bowl. I was given around 4 to 5 very small pieces of chicken in a small plastic container. The main bowl itself while flavorful, just didn't have enough food in it. I can see the Tofu, the sliced pork and other vegetables, but it’s very tiny pieces.. there is very little in the bowl other than the Rice noodles and the broth (which taste amazing).. I finished the meal and still wanted to have more. Whenever I go to Chinese restaurants, they always have generous portions.. please consider what I said. Thank you...
