Unacceptable Discrimination, Poor Service, and Unsanitary Conditions at Redstone Grill - Dresher Date: January 3, 2025

I am writing to formally express my profound disappointment and outrage at the treatment my party and I received at your Dresher Redstone location. Our experience on January 3rd, 2025 was nothing short of disgraceful, and it raised serious concerns about the professionalism, customer service standards, discriminatory practices, and basic hygiene protocols of your establishment.

Upon being seated in the left wing of the restaurant—an area that was notably uncrowded—our server, Cameron, failed to greet us for over 20 minutes. Her section contained only two occupied tables, ours included, and there were no discernible reasons for this excessive delay other than a lack of basic courtesy and respect. During this time, she was visibly preoccupied with casual conversations, including openly flirting with a male colleague. Such behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable under any circumstances, but to blatantly neglect paying customers crosses the line.

What is even more troubling is the clear implication of bias that we experienced. It became glaringly apparent that our server made baseless assumptions about us based on our appearance—specifically, the fact that we are African American and dressed in business casual attire. Had we been dressed in suits or had lighter skin, I suspect we would have been treated with promptness and care. This assumption that we would not tip well—despite the fact that we typically tip generously, often 40% of our bill—is not only offensive but rooted in harmful stereotypes.

Adding insult to injury, the restroom in your establishment lacked a functioning soap pump, leaving it completely devoid of soap. This is not only unsanitary and disgusting but also a significant health violation. I observed employees using the restroom without the ability to wash their hands properly before returning to handle food and serve customers. This is an egregious failure of your responsibility to maintain basic hygiene and public health standards, endangering both staff and patrons.

The treatment we received is not simply an issue of poor service; it points to deeper systemic problems, including racial bias and neglect of health and safety protocols. My attorney would be very interested in exploring this matter further, as discrimination and failure to uphold health standards are both morally reprehensible and legally actionable.

In a near-empty restaurant, my party and I had to endure neglect, disrespect, and an unhygienic environment. This is unacceptable by any standard. There needs to be an immediate investigation into this matter, a resolution to the health code violations, and a clear outline of the steps you will take to ensure that no customer is ever treated this way again.

The failure to address these issues adequately will not only result in the loss of my business but also in the escalation of this matter to legal channels and public forums. Discrimination, negligence, and unsanitary conditions have no place in any establishment, let alone one that claims to offer hospitality and quality service.

I look forward to your swift response and to seeing actionable changes implemented at...

I have always enjoyed Redstone in Plymouth Meeting. Decided to give Upper Dublin a try as it is new and I was close to the location. The interior is well done and the seats at the bar are very comfortable. I ordered grilled wings and a steak salad. My grilled wings were really good, but the steak salad was undesirable because of cooking temperatures. I requested the steak medium-rare ( I can get the steak cooked this way at many restaurants when ordering a steak salad....always available at Firebirds and others this way). The server confirmed I wanted it medium-rare, twice. Well, it arrived well done, and was extremely tough to even cut into or eat.

When we questioned the temp, we were told by another server that they always cook it medium well to well done at that location and they can't control the temperature. Totally understandable but I would not have ordered the steak salad, if I knew this.

Next, the manager came over and was a bit aggressive as if I should have know their cooking temperatures. "This is the way we always serve it!" I asked if his staff was trained on this, and the reply was..."yes they all know this!" I explained how I ordered it medium rare and the server confirmed, twice. My next comment was you need to do a better job of training your staff. He explained he would let them know and blew us off and walked away.

The problem is no one took ownership of the issue and would rather blame this on the customer. Also, the manager never apologized and was rude about the situation. I Probably will stay away with the poor customer service and experience I just had. It is unfortunate because I actually enjoyed the ambiance and finally found a place that does great...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Redstone Restaurant, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional, largely thanks to our waitress Kim. From the moment we were seated, Kim displayed remarkable professionalism and warmth. She not only took care of our needs but also went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable evening.

Kim's suggestions for food were spot on; each dish she recommended exceeded our expectations. Her knowledge of the menu and her enthusiasm for the cuisine were evident in every interaction. What impressed us most was how attentive she was to every detail, from ensuring our glasses were never empty to recommending delightful dessert options.

At the end of our meal, the manager Sam, came over to our table with our desserts. In our conversation, he discovered it was our anniversary. When Sam returned to our table later, he surprised us by offering the second dessert on the house to celebrate our special occasion. His gesture was incredibly thoughtful and made our evening even more memorable.

The atmosphere at Redstone Restaurant was cozy and intimate, perfect for a romantic dinner. The ambiance, combined with the outstanding service from Kim and the thoughtful gesture from Sam, ensured that we will definitely be returning to this establishment. Overall, our experience at Redstone was superb, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful...
