Spread Bagelry — Restaurant in Upper Dublin Township

Love spread bagels.. I'd like to compliment whoever came up with the idea of the bagel being the same from top to bottom... I'm not sure if it was one person that came up with that idea or it was a team but it was genius . Bravo!! It's very important, That this location!! Has more varieties of bagels they do not have enough, bagels assortments Especially around different holidays they should have apple cinnamon... Whenever I come in they have hardly any bagels... If they don't start changing their ways regarding having variety people are going to start to go elsewhere... Love this place management and staff are wonderful... Very clean. The decor should have some nice paintings in there and have it brighter. There should be some beautiful pictures of bagels and history written of this corporation... I recently visited Spread Bagelry for the first time with my boyfriend. As someone with a severe egg allergy, I was carefully reviewing the menu options while mid-conversation. The employee at the register, wearing a gray hat and sweater, interrupted us twice within minutes of our arrival. Initially, we were simply browsing and not yet in line. When he first asked if we were ready to order, we politely explained we were still looking. Minutes later, he repeated the question with an unnecessarily snarky tone, smirking and loudly exclaiming, "Wow, still looking!"

His unprofessional demeanor immediately soured my experience. Given the brief time we'd been in the restaurant and our careful attempt to navigate my dietary restrictions, his abrupt and rude behavior was completely unwarranted. We promptly decided to dine elsewhere.

While everyone can have challenging days, customer service should never involve making patrons feel unwelcome or rushed. This encounter not only lost Spread Bagelry a potential customer but also serves as a reminder of the importance of basic respect and patience in the service industry.

I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt twice but after this last time I am definitely not going back. Sandwiches are expensive and fall apart completely. Cream cheese, egg, breakfast meat all fell out and my hands were completely covered even when I tried to keep it together in the wrapping. The rosemary bagel tasted pretty good and was well proofed the first time. Second time around I was given the smallest under proofed saltiest rosemary bagel that was tough, chewy and just off putting. I got a simple rosemary bagel with chive cream cheese and turkey bacon. They forgot the turkey bacon. Had to go back and get it. Overall not impressed. There are much better consistent and tasty bagel shop in the area like Bread & Bagel down the road.
