Stopped into this location on September 10, 2020 between 6 and 7pm and there was a man in his late 30's early 40's and full tattoos on both arms and a young girl who was late teens, possibly early 20's working. There were several other people who came into both pick up and place orders and the female went from placing rolls and other food items on the grill, to coming right over and handling cash from customers, with the same gloves, then I watched her stroll back over to the grill and continue with cooking.
For some reason, something as simple and common sensical as changing gloves continues to elude individuals who work at food establishments, even now, in 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic. Food establishments order large quantities of disposable gloves specifically for this purpose, so they can be put on and taken off frequently such as when touching something other than the food.
Or is it the fact that the female was too young to care? Didn't think anyone would notice? Didn't see it as a big deal? Never received training? Wanted someone to stress the point on a google review?( I can help with that)
Can you picture healthcare workers going from patient to patient with the same gloves on? No, because it simply would not happen and it would be a major health hazard. So why isn't' the same attention given when food that will eventually end up inside someone, isn't handled with the safest most sanitary means possible?
Why have we as society simply blown this behavior off like we can't be harmed by it? Is 2 seconds really too much time out of our lives to put on a fresh set of disposable gloves and to act like one cares about someone instead of what is convenient...
Read moreWe've been to jersey Mike's numerous times, the one in Blue Bell has NEVER made an error! Unfortunately, Oaks(phoenixville)location made my sandwich twice and both times were wrong! Other times they have put on wrong bread,so not surprised. The workers were not at all friendly except the checkout girl. We stood in line 7 minutes and weren't even acknowledged. Once the girl taking the orders finished the order of the woman in front of us,she took our order. A young man made my order twice. The first time on white bread and I ordered wheat. The second time the spicy mustard was omitted as well as extra kraut. In my frustration, I went up to the nice girl at the checkout, handed her my sandwich and said to throw it out. That once again it was wrong. She said something to me,but l had in my anger already started toward the door. Basically, the staff at this facility is not the same quality as Blue Bell. If the sandwich is made right,it's...
Read moreWe were on our way to the Phillies today and our pickup order should’ve been ready at 10:40 but it wasn’t ready until 11:10…we got there at 10:52 and I was confused why it wasn’t ready cause this shop usually does a great job. I’d leave a bad review but the gal there who was clearly training the rest of the new crew was doing everything she could to hold things together…yes we lost a half hour of our planned tailgating time but the calmness and presence she dealt with every customer with was significant, especially when dealing with a customer hard of hearing - she went from asking “do you want it mikes way” to a format the customer could read her lips better - that’s great leadership and management. Kudos to the experienced staff and it’ll get better soon! They just need to keep the folks in line who show up late, cause that was clearly part of the issue, everyone has to get trained...
