My family has been loyal Carmines and Lix customers for a lot of years. I am never one to write a negative review unless I feel others may be as disappointed. Having worked a lot in my youth in a variety of food service industries, and considered a career in a food business, I always try to look at both the business and customer side of the story. Businesses need to turn a profit, but success lies in demand and enjoyment of the customer. Have been to Lix twice this season, and my family has been disappointed. Have to say, the soft serve ice cream cones have shrunken, and seem to come out the same "kiddie size" no matter what size you order; on both experiences, the ice cream top was mushy, and falling over the side of the cone.. maybe the machine not cold enough? Not sure, but the cost super exceeds the value and satisfaction. Usually the smaller ice cream shops beat out the big chains in value and satisfaction, but not the case here. Dairy Queen is cheaper, better quality and definitely gives you more ice cream. A few years back, we ordered pizza and it was so mostly burned. When we tried to get a replacement, the manager was surprised we didn't eat it like that, eluded to the fact that it's because we ordered it with vegetables on it. While we have fond memories of visits when our kids were younger, and that it is nice to sit and eat out at the picnic tables, sadly our views have changed, and probably...
Read moreCustomer service is poor. They act as if the customer is out to scam them. I just read a review of the exact same situation that occurred to me, but occurred to someone else a year ago, so it must be an ongoing management method of poorly handling customers. We ordered delivery today and my sandwich order was wrong. Even comparing the sandwich to the paper receipt stapled to the bag, showed it was wrong. I called, they said they would send a new sandwich but did not act sorry at all. OK. I wait another 25 mins. The delivery guy appears at my door with major bad attitude! Looks at me like I'm pulling a fast one as I did not have the other sandwich to give him in my hand. I luckily saved half of it (gave half to my sons friend). I could not believe they wanted it back! What could they do other than throw it out!? So he proceeds to see I'm upset in the way he is treating me (combative as the other review said) and starts claiming he's only doing what he was told to do. This is an older man not a kid! I guess Carmine's feels they are king and the customer is there to serve them! I can't remember the last time I was treated so poorly when the service provider was in the wrong! Chester Springs needs new businesses who want our business vs this one that has a monopoly and very poor...
Read moreThis restaurant was awful. I went with some good friends of mine and we all look a little younger for our ages and a man working treated us very poorly. It was our first time at this restaurant so we didn’t know how everything worked. We also were not informed about how everything worked. We didn’t know the number that they call for you to get your pizza was on the receipt. We weren’t even offered one. As the guy called it we waved our hands to tell him that was our order. It was obviously ours because it was exactly what we ordered. The man came over and judged us and goes “who is eating all of this food”. Clearly, we were the costumers that had ordered this food to eat. After we told him that it was our order he continuously debates with us about why he thinks this order isn’t ours and how we are “lying.” Next be ALLOWED another costumer to take our slice of pizza. As we tried to explain what happened he kept trying to talk over us and treat us poorly just because of our appearance. He not only humiliated us by screaming in our faces and telling us what to do then gave away our pizza that we had just bought. Clearly, this place should hire someone that can deal with kids and is respectful to...
