My husband and daughter came today for a nice lunch in. 1.) they never asked if it was for here or to go and just packaged everything up (forgetting forks and napkins of course) 2.) the cashier asked twice if they wanted drinks and my husband responded “yes medium fountain drinks please” twice. He never received drinks. Assuming he was charged for them he grabbed two cups from the stack of cups by the register (these happened to be water cups he was unaware) the cashier then yelled at him across the restaurant “those are water cups you can’t use those” and he said “oh but you asked me twice if I wanted drinks and I said yes “ and the cashier then said “is it on the receipt?” He said no it’s not but I told you twice. Then the cashier said “excuse me and my attitude but you see it’s busy in here do you want drinks” my husband then very upset and fed up said never mind forget it all and walked out with what he already had. What was supposed to be a calm lunch out turned into a crazy debacle. Thankfully he went to Wendy’s and they gave him drinks and forks for their food. Read moreA few weeks ago, I went in to get food after work for my partner. I had a reward for a free bigger plate, so I just upgraded the choices and paid the difference in cash. It was around 7-8 PM.
First, the staff didn’t know the difference between a plate and a bigger plate, but that got settled. I then asked for a steak and was told to wait 5-7 minutes. I didn’t mind at first, but after 15+ minutes of watching the cooking staff clean stove knobs instead of preparing food, I got frustrated and decided to leave. Someone who I don't know his position said, "The steak is coming," but I replied that I didn’t care and to keep the money; I wasn’t waiting any longer. They proceed to try to argue with me.
Throughout this, the manager walked back and forth, ignoring the situation. I will never go back.
Pro tip: when a customer wants to leave, let them go. Don’t make it worse by questioning them and don't argue with me about not waiting to wait further. I was polite and waited beyond a reasonable time. I won’t eat one hot dish while the rest goes cold in a box. The management situation needs to be revamped. This has happened once before a while ago and the manager placed my name in the book. “Manager” KODY refused to give my back my $19.09 after finding my receipt that he requested for me to bring and get the double meat. I had decided on the long drive back that I wanted a refund instead. He told me that a corporate manager informed him I had to keep the food and only refund me the missing item for $3.88.
