As a red blooded American, I can confidently say that Freddy’s is probably the best fast food chain burger that you can get in the area. I’ve eaten at the majority of the large chains in the United States that are contemporaries such as Whataburger, In N Out, and Five Guys. Freddy’s can confidently sit at their table and compete with them at an affordable price.
I ate the California Burger with fries and look forward to eating there again. The burger was prepared quickly, and with the place packed it took about five minutes or so to get my food. The food was hot and tasted fresh. The shoestring french fries are comparable to McDonald’s but tasted better, as if they had more flavor compared to the Golden Arches. I also tried a friends cheese curds and they were also good. He ordered the same burger as I did, but he also got a shake and a hot dog. He complemented both items and I plan on trying them on my next visit.
There are a few things things that I can criticize about this place but it is all very minor things in my opinion.
They did lose my friends order. It was very busy and I’ve worked at places like this that can get crazy. It can happen but they immediately completed his order when they realized it and apologized.
When my friend tried getting regular water at the soda fountain he could tell that the flavored water option was still flavoring his beverage. He dumped the water and got iced tea.
Lastly, and this is a very tiny thing that I debated putting it into my review. There aren’t napkins at the tables. These are juicy burgers and they will get your hands messy when eating them. My friend grabbed myself and another friend napkins after we realized we needed them since he was still waiting for his food.
Overall if you have been craving a good fast food burger and have been getting disappointed with other options from competitors, go to Freddy’s. I don’t think you will be...
Read moreSo I’m done with Freddy’s for good. Each time I walk in to the Exton location which by the way looks like a teenage ran operation, I get zero customer service. For example, I highly doubt there’s any oversight when it comes to employee efficiency. No, there never seems to be a labor shortage. Quite the opposite, the other day in the late morning (lunch rush has not began yet) there were about 3 teenage employees sitting at one of the tables playing on their phones (with their masks all the way down to their chins might I add) and no one even looked up to greet me. I stood by the register waiting for help and a really tall heavy set man walked right by me. He also happened to be one of the employees. Again, he never acknowledged me, just sat down next to the teenagers. There was an older woman employee who also sat down to play on her phone. At this point I was observing 5 employees sitting down and playing on their phones, laughing and not paying attention to the now growing line of customers looking for help. I mean, I get employee breaks but if you’re leaving one teenager at the grille and no one at the register, is this SOP? So I asked who the manager was. Was told it’s some guy named Kurt Herwig but “good luck trying to get a hold of him because we can’t give you his number.” Ha. So I left instead. I’ve looked up Kurt on LinkedIn and emailed him. Days later, no response. Kurt, if you’re reading this, please do yourself a favor and take a walk to the establishment next door to your Exton store where each visit starts with “may we help you” and ends with “my pleasure.” It seems as all the bad apples end up getting hired at Freddy’s. And don’t get me started on the quality of food. After getting severely undercooked burger the first time I visited Freddy’s back in May, I should have never gone back but so I made a mistake and decided to give them another try....
Read moreI am beyond happy that Freddy’s has opened a location in Exton! Before I had to drive 45 minutes to their location in West Chester, all though I didn’t mind, because it’s worth the trek! This is one of my favorite burger places and Freddy’s is very up-and-coming in the fast food industry, and for good reason. Their steak burgers are incredible, their thin cut fries are incredible, their custard is incredible!! Don’t pay any attention to the complainer reviews and sham reviews saying, “it takes forever to get your food”. First of all, they are made fresh, so yes, it is going to take a few minutes to get your burger, oh the horror!!! It’s not McDonald’s where everything is basically cooked in a microwave. This is the real deal! The burgers literally cannot get any more fresh, they’re amazing!! People these days get upset if they have to wait at all and it’s just silly. The place was packed when we went, as it’s only their second week open, but the line moved very fast and we waited no longer than ten minutes for our food, which is not bad at all! They are fast and efficient, kind and courteous. I give all the workers there a huge congratulations, because they handled the rush very well! Good job everyone! If you are a true foodie and a burger fanatic, you will not be disappointed with Freddy’s. Keep up the great...
