Five weeks ago I was passing through the area and stopped in for a late lunch at VIP Pizza. As I was walking in I realized that I had forgotten my wallet at home, but I went in anyway to pick up a menu.
The owner asked how he could help and I said that I would come back again when I had my wallet with me. He insisted that I order some food and pay him later. He was more concerned about taking care of me as a customer, than he was about the money.
Well, we are in our busy season and I simply forgot to stop back to pay him. Yesterday, I stopped in and he remembered me. I payed him and he was very gracious and appreciative, despite the 5 week delay.
The food from my initial visit was great, and the owner went over the top to prepare a really nice sandwich for me. His kindness and hospitality impressed me.
Small businesses especially in the food industry work hard, and I can tell that this restaurant has a lot of pride in the food that they serve. It shows by how well they treat their customers.
I will go out of my way to order food for my work team from VIP, but also to patronize this restaurant (which is 20 miles away) because the staff give their customers such consideration and...
Read moreTL;DR -Best pizza place in the Chester Springs area. Period.
I've lived across from VIP/shopping center where its' located for nearly 20 years and they're 1 of 2 places still open under the same management.
The food is fantastic (Sicilian w. Ham, pepperoni, bacon and sausage is my preference).
The service for takeout/delivery via Slice is reasonable and more importantly- consistent without issue (none of the usual nightmares that caused me to boycott Doordash).
Perhaps most of all, the gentlemen running the store are kindhearted and constantly going the extra mile to make sure their customers are not just satisfied but eager to order from them again.
Additionally - it's not just the usual pizza Faire and a handful of standardized appetizers; both their cheese steaks and baked pasta dishes are fabulous as well.
Ron's, Carmines and especially franchise rubbish like Dominos/Papa John's can't hold a candle to the quality, value and service VIP...

I called the store and asked for my pizzas to be brought curbside due to the line inside the store and the fact that nobody was wearing masks, as per Gov. Wolf's orders today. I opened my tailgate as they were walking my pizzas out. The pizzas were brought to my driver's side door and I was told I could put them in the tailgate myself. I declined the food and drove away.
There was no social distancing being practiced.
There were no gloves and no masks worn by those interacting with the public.
I've never posted a negative review online. I have a family at home that I'm trying to protect and I choose to only support businesses that prioritize the safety and health of their staff and customers during this unprecedented time.
Based off of this experience, I cannot comment on the quality of their food; however, I will never order from this...
