So I had to make another trip and try lunch, and was not dissatisfied at all. Service was just as prompt, friendly and courteous as it was for dinner. Portions remained good size, meal was again served quickly and piping hot. The enchiladas we're as close to a Tex-Mex that I grew up eating and so I would definitely recommend sitting down and trying a meal. Staff is friendly, family owned and take great care in treating their patron's well. I've had both lunch and dinner and no matter which time they remain consistent with both quality and service. Had a nice dinner, went in about 5:30, and was able to get a table on this Saturday. Good service, good good, nice portions for the value. Served with chips and salsa, both regular and spicy. I had a combination plate, 2 items, with the enchilada (beef) which was delicious, and a chilli relleno which was good, served with rice and beans. Food was served extremely prompt and was served piping hot. My server was courteous, prompt and polite, and it was packed at the time I had dinner. If in the area it's a good place to dine. Restaurant was clean, and practice safe protocol, and staff all wore mask.

Honestly pretty disappointed. Got a 'super' burrito.. it was dry flavorless shredded chicken, maybe a spoonful of beans, and a ton of wet shredded lettuce and diced tomatos.. it also wasn't even fully wrapped. Surprising how something so wet can be so dry too. Picture is all the water left on my plate after the burrito leaked about a half cup of it...

We have been coming here as a family since I was a little girl. The current owner Stacey Murillo is amazing, friendly and loves what she does. Food and service are great. They did a great job decorating for cinco de mayo! Highly recommend bringing your family here for lunch or dinner!

It’s so Sad I have to give this place the review I’m giving it! I’ve been coming here for 45 yrs my parents would come here several times a week in the 70’s & 80’s. they’ve always given good portions and their food has been really good. However, the last couple of years too maybe three years the food has declined significantly and taste. The portions have become significantly smaller, especially when it comes to meat in the dishes. It’s almost like it’s nonexistent and their prices have gone up significantly. for example now they charge 3.99 for what they call a small salsa that same size has been the complementary size of salsa up until this year and now they charge! They did a horrible job this time on the food. It is tasteless overcooked prepared incorrectly. I even had to go back and make them fix my order i’ve had to do this the last three times now that I’ve ordered food to go. Needless to say this will be my last time coming to eat or ordering any food from this location. I will be going to the other one. Note to the owner, the tall blonde heavyset server needs to learn to keep her unsolicited verbal...

I've been eating here for 47 years and even though I've moved from the area, whenever I'm within 100 miles I detour for tacos! It was closed the other day when I was in Vacaville and we went to the restaurant on Monte Vista; the menu may be the same but the food is so much better here at the Merchant restaurant! Maybe it's the "hole in the wall" smallness or the fact that it's the one I normally eat at but for whatever reason, I just prefer this location.

Murillo's is one of the few Mexican restaurants that uses shredded beef, not ground, and it really makes a huge difference in the taste. They fry their own chips - no stale, hard mass-produced tortilla chips here! The salsa is unique, not the chunky tomatoes, onions, and jalapeno bits but more like what you get in a Taco Bell packet with the occasional onion pieces served hot; the spicy salsa is very hot and I've never liked it as much as the mild. I've tried everything on the menu over the years and there's nothing that isn't tasty, even reheated later!

If you want great Mexican food in the Fairfield/Vacaville area then you definitely...
