This was my first time eating there and the quality of the tacos was below average overall. The flavor of the meat was quite bland: the asada, cabeza, and carnitas. The tortillas from the tacos were very soggy and sticky as I lifted them with my fingers. The tacos lacked kick overall. Very bland and average tasting.
Other than that, I felt that one of the female cashiers was very indifferent and unfriendly as I ordered my food. I asked her questions about the meat selections and specials and responded me with an unpleasant and distressed look, as if I was already expected to know the answer. I didn't feel valued as a customer. I assume that when you order Chips and Salsa, I would receive a large side of salsa to go along with it. However, I recieved no such side. They provided me with 6 measly tiny salsa sides that were intended to accommodate all of our 6 tacos and chips and salsa. Unimpressive customer service, prices, and...
Read moreTo start off, if you do not make your own chips and buy them in bulk, that’s a big no no. Next, you don’t even have dipping salsa for those store bought chips. They give you two squeezable bottles of salsa to put on your chips. I ordered a Michelada (Mexican red Beer) and it was just okay, nothing special. I ordered an asada taco and the meat was bland. I also ordered shrimp cocktail and the failure wasn’t the best. They put too much ketchup and was overall too sweet. My wife ordered a glass of horchata. You can tell it is the powder mix that isn’t the best. Her Chile rellenos didn’t have Mexican cheese in them, it was some type of mozzarella or something. They do not have home made tortillas and when I asked about their crispy tacos, they stated that they were store bought shells like “Taco Bell”.
Far from authentic and definitely not worth coming...
Read moreMet the kids and grandkids there for dinner last night. Tiny place tucked away downtown. It is worth finding! Friendly fast service. I had a shrimp quesadilla. YUM! Lots of nice sized shrimp and i don't even know what kinds of cheese, cilantro, tomatoes and no onions (per my request). I would order that every time. Two people had carne asada. It is served traditionally except for the fact that there is a handful of french fries on top of the beef. Kinda random, but why not? My granddaughter thought it was amazing, by husband said it was not the best he had ever had but liked it. Daughter had sopes which so few restaurants even offer. She loved it. Grandson had shrimp enchiladas, loved and gone. Prices were good too. I would love...
