If I could rate the food only, I would give it 5 stars. However, a restaurant experience is about more than just the food. It’s about Staff, Cleanliness, Hospitality, Menu options, Timeliness and price. We are on our way to Florida and we stopped in for a bite to eat. Typically, WH is ALWAYS a good choice. Sadly, this time it wasn’t. We were greeted immediately after we chose a table that was “less dirty” than the others. After sitting down we realized our table was just as dirty as the other empty tables. Old hash brown remnants from a previous customer, a sticky substance that was obvious all over the back of the seat and sticky drops all around. Our server greeted us, took down our order, called it back to the grill operator…then we waited only a short amount of time for our food. The food was good. The cooks name was “Damon”. We were so cold, we could hardly focus on eating. My husband was freezing and that never happens. The outside temp was around 70 degrees, it was definitely in the low 60’s or high 50’s inside that restaurant. Insanely cold. Even the staff wore fleece jackets. Let’s get back to the filth. Every empty table was dirty. The waffle station was absolutely disgusting. There were wet towels, clean gloves and non stick spray on the counter by the grill. Right next to an overflowing bin of cracked egg shells. The floors were filthy all around the tables and bar. The bathrooms were disgusting as well. I wouldn’t be writing this if being short staffed we’re an issue. They were working with a full staff. The staff were all talking loudly to each other about whatever came to mind. Nothing was related to “work”. Some were snapping pictures with their smartphones as well and sharing stories with each other while showing their phones to one another. Meanwhile the few customers that were there…. well, we were on our own. Corporate needs to get a handle on this store and quick. If there was a manager on duty, she/he must be buddies with the staff because no one in actual management would ever or should ever tolerate all that is going on at that Waffle House. I hope...
Read moreWe are full-time travelers and having spent 11 years in So. Georgia and living and visiting the Lake Park Ga store, we were glad that y'all we're open for us on Christmas day. Though it was super busy, the manager did not skimp on staffing, orders were taken quickly by folks who were pleasant and welcoming inspite of the capacity. We kind of consider this our home town Waffle House even though it's been 26 years since we've been back for a visit. Give everyone a pat on the back for the warm friendly service we received and especially our waitress Crystal. She made sure my coffee mug was always topped off and we had everything we needed and that we were happy. A lot of restaurants in the Northeast should come down and take lessons. The quality of the food was excellent, but I'm a bias...
Read moreThis Waffle House is special. I was actually looking for a super sketchy Chinese place to eat at on my trip because I love those, but unfortunately both the ones I found nearby were closed. Anyway, I stopped here because they'd have coffee and I needed some for the drive. The two ladies here were just awesome. I only caught one of their names, Madonna. It was her and an older woman. They got me meal to me extremely fast, and were very vigilant that I was a woman traveling alone. I appreciate that a lot of the time people see that and assume the worst but I'm fine, I was only traveling for work. They wanted to know where I was going and make sure I got there safely. If you're a woman traveling alone Waffle House's...
