Worst experience at a hotel EVER. The only decent thing about this hotel was the person that checked us in. The owners were rude and nasty people. The first issue we had here was the yellowed semen stain on my bed. The guy that checked us in changed out the linen on my bed. He also mentioned how the maids don’t always do what they need to do.
The next issue was the fact that we found long blonde/ brown hair in a towel and in/around the sink. This is when the issues got worse. My father went downstairs to collect new towels. The owner/ manager/ wife (I believe her name is Lydia) didn’t apologize. Instead she told him how she smelled the linens from last night and that they were clean. (Who in their right mind would sniff, touch, or sleep on linens with visible stains especially ones that look like bodily fluids). She also stated that stained sheets are too expensive to replace, so they continue to use them. She stated that she would not charge us for the stained sheet-remember, this was when we first arrived.
My parents later went down for breakfast. Lydia was bragging about just making the chicken gravy. My dad actually tried the chicken gravy. Unfortunately, he couldn’t enjoy her chicken gravy because there was a nice sized hair in it. When this was brought to her attention that a hair was found, she again didn’t apologize or assume responsibility. She said that the hair was his eyelash or eyebrow hair. At that time the husband/owner said that it wasn’t a brow or lash hair.
We later left to get breakfast elsewhere. My mother did speak with her about the issues again and let her know that the proper thing to do when guest bring up issues is to apologize. Some words were exchanged. We finally left, got our food and came back. More words were exchanged but this time the husband/owner switched his story up. He said that my father intentionally planted the hair. Mind you, my mother and father’s heads are shaved bald. My mom wears a wig but it was not on her head at the time (it was in the room when they went to get breakfast) and it had not even been brushed out yet.
Several times, the manager suggested we were attempting to extort money from them, when all we wanted was an apology for the conditions. My mom told them that we never asked for any money-we were staying at this hotel for another night. They finally stated that our reservation for the upcoming night would be refunded and told us to get our stuff and “get out”. We packed up all of our stuff. My mom took pictures of the room so that they couldn’t say we damaged the room. When my mom completely pulled back the sheets on the bed my parents slept in, they found two decent sized reddish-brown stains at the foot of the bed, on both the top and the bottom sheets. My parents showed the cleaning lady what was in the bed. She had nothing to say-she just smiled. We tried to show the owners and the husband was yelling at us and telling us to get out. Then the wife was fussing and telling us how the sheets were changed. We tried to tell her only one bed was changed and it was not the one with the brown stain. She looked at the picture and stated that we pooped on the bed. She also said that her husband stated if we stayed tomorrow we would have put a roach in our food. We eventually left.
About 20 minutes after we left, we received a notification that the hotel charged us another $50 fee. My mom contacted the hotel and asked about the fee. The manager wouldn’t answer that question. Instead she changed her accusation from us leaving poop in the bed to us putting menstrual blood on the bed. She said she went through the trash and found a tampon. Although I am menstruating, my tampon was heavily wrapped in toilet paper and that would just be a sick thing to do. She also mentioned how there was hair from my mom’s wig in the trash, again claiming that my dad intentionally brought hair downstairs to put in his food. The owners of the hotel are by far the worst business people that I’ve ever come in contact with. Do not stay here.

Read moreNo more Windham-bannered hotels for us. |Where to start?! This is a list and not a review. Old (old!) hotel and construction. No covered drive so we (and others) got drenched at arrival under a heavy rain. Had to wait a while for the rain to pass to get our stuff. |Dirty nasty main door handles. A “welcome” coffee pot with a washed-out many-times-recycled piece of paper on it saying “coffee”. |We got handed a single dirty and also many-times-recycled keycard. Didn’t ask if we wanted one or two. No elevator so good luck bailing your heavy stuff up the stairs. Daylight all the around the bedroom door that needed a serious push to close. Noisy is an understatement. |I’m in the HVAC business, and the first thing that got me was the serious musty/moldy smell upon entering the room. YUK!! Tiny bathroom vanity with little room for anything. Bathroom door full of holes, covered and not. Old stained sandpaper-like towels. One of them had big marks of eyeliner, while the others had brown washed out stains. Missing light bulb on night stand. Went to the desk and he handed me a new one with no “so sorry, let me take care of this for you”. I can screw in a bulb but we’re not family. |Tiny TV screen. Breakfast is beyond joke. Cracker Barrel is just across the way, but that’s another expense. The wheelchair ramp also used as a luggage cart ramp must’ve met 70’s standards but you need a special training to navigate this thing with its tight corners and narrow width. |There was absolutely nothing at all positive about this barely-maintained and held together with spit and tape place, and |certainly...
Read moreWe showed up with a prepaid reservation. The lobby was packed with people waiting to check in. It took an hour to get to the counter. They said the computers were down but they were using a computer to create keys for rooms. They were using a screenshot of something to look for rooms, then had a handwritten disorganized list that they had to check to be sure rooms had not already been assigned. One person reported they went to a room and someone was in there! They had to make copies of everyone’s drivers license and credit cards and couldn’t run the copy machine correctly! One women had to take 30 copies of her information with her because they accidentally made 30 copies! When I got to the counter I was told there was no room available for me because I had a dog. The 3 rooms available for pets were occupied. Not quite the pet friendly accommodations we had hoped for. So at midnight we were sent away to find another hotel. I tried to explain that I had a reservation. Her response was “Sorry”. Sorry doesn’t help at midnight when you have no where to sleep! Clearly we will never return. And I have to get the charges reversed for the reservation. This place is...
