Really disappointed in this restaurant. It has definitely gone down hill. Unfortunately my son wanted to have his birthday dinner here. They don’t take reservations on weekends so I went at 4 (one hour early) to ask for 23 people. This is just immediate family. We all have been coming since the month they opened. We were treated so poorly because of our group. We were going to go to Kelsey’s (next time we will) but my child insisted. I’m sure Kelsey’s would have like our business. There were gnats on everyone’s plates, hair in chips, my mother in law got skipped ordering so she asked her her to come back and take the order they POURED salt all over her food to spite her more than one person tried it just to be sure they did, the entire place smelt like a pool of fabuloso cleaner it was burning our eyes. They also only gave me 14 chairs I had to make more room myself then let them know they still didn’t have enough when everyone was there they told me there’s no more tables and we can’t help you. Some of my family had to sit away from us even though I had told them the count of how many at 4pm when no one was there. And we never complained about any of it mind you. They didn’t want to come back to take our order took an hour for them to do that. They knew it was my sons birthday they celebrated other people birthdays but wouldn’t come back to give him the sumbrero. He was upset about that (he’s 9). We had to walk to the bar to get are drinks because the waitress didn’t come and were told by the Manager we were not allowed to do that we needed to go back and wait for our waitress to take our orders for them. It was really disappointing that a business would look at a group of individuals and think they’re a nuisance instead of great customers. I will not host another party or even attend another outing there and they 15 adults that were also amazing customers will not also. I waited until everyone left to bring this all to the manager about how my family was treated Able had nothing to say besides, “go home.” After being loyal costumers for years. Read moreI had a very bad experience tonight with the manager Abel Guiterrez it deserves a negative star. As a customer I have not ever been treated as a customer as bad as this manager treated me tonight. I had a pina colada as I had for the last 5 years there. But tonight there was something off with the drink. I asked if he can change it that it taste different I didn't like it. He refused and said it's the same drink as always. I said sir please I can not drink it it doesn't taste right. He said I will not loose money I will make another but charge you for this one too. I told him this can not be right I am a customer I am unhappy and want them to change it he refused. I asked maybe if he could add more pineapple juice. He was upset and said it is the same drink in front of customers and his workers took my cup and walked to bar. He was commenting on me to all his workers laughing. He added more juice that he said cost more money for me. I told him nicely and calmly I can not believe you treated me like this then having your employees talk about me and laughing. He said well I am not going to loose money. As I return to sit down. The manager went in my area approached a waitress and was telling her about me as I was sitting at my table and she turned to look at me and said for real. He looked at me and shook his head. This was so unprofessional. I wish I had walked out. But I paid for my drinks without finishing it. Was taking out a friend from Puerto Rico bragging about the drink and to be embarrassed. I have never been treated like this in my life as a customer. He had a chip on his shoulder and didn't care that I said I come all the time with my family. He just repeated that he was not going to loose money and not focused on a 5 year customer. Abel Guiterrez should not be a manager at LA Cabana and upon reading other reviews this seems to be a routine of rudeness and bad service. They do not care about there customers. The owner should fix this problem and value his customets. Shame on you Abel Guiterrez you were rude in front of customers and your employees customers should always be a priorty. Read moreHad a crazy end to our lunch over a couple of dollars. It was 11 am My girlfriend and I arrived, we go inside she sees one of her favorites on the specials posted on the board inside the restaurant. We get seated outside, I ordered the fajitas I did not specify lunch special my bad. However I assumed that was what I was ordering especially since the waiter did not ask, but most places ask. No big deal that's on me. My girlfriend orders the special and points to the sign outside. I get the bill and notice that she was not given the lunch special. They gave her the dinner and the dinner price (only the lunch was on special, again it was 11am). What waiter does not question if you're ordering the special if there's any question or lunch vs dinner at 11am? I point out the discrepancy to the cashier. he then points to the sign inside and said no you have to order the lunch special. However the sign nside did not specify "lunch". He then wipes the his hand through the special and the price. He then walks outside and shows that it says lunch on the outside board and since we are sitting outside that "He won!" And laughs loudly. I never lose my temper, but the hand waving and being laughed at set me off. The waiter came over and tried to intervene saying that he wasn't trying to argue with me but wanted to point out that I should have specified which version she wanted. It's 11:00 a.m., she pointed to the sign, the sign inside your restaurant clearly does not specify "lunch", and he should have asked to clarify or even opened with listing the specials. The difference is only a couple of dollars. Instead of working with me on that, he laughs at me, and says he won? After raising my voice to the intervening waiter I was told that I was done, and to leave. So they lost a customer and a $48 tab over a couple of dollars because the cashier(day manager?) had to be right.
