Abhiruchi is hands-down the best Indian restaurant in the Portland/Vancouver area.

I am an Indian food connoisseur. I am also a vegetarian. If you're looking for an Indian restaurant that has great food, amazing prices, and wonderful service, check out Abhiruchi. Here is why you should go:

Prices - Great value. Ordering meals "a la carte" gets you rice and naan along with your meal. They hook it up on the naan as well. Papadums are always brought prior to the meal. I've eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants and this place is one of the cheapest - trust me.

Service - Every time I go here the same folks are working. They are extremely gracious and accommodating, and are some of the sweetest people ever. One time I ordered a meal "spicy" and it didn't seem spicy enough, though it tasted great and I was eating it anyway. Normally I wouldn't say anything, but they asked about it. They offered to make it more spicy, so they took it back to the kitchen and when they brought it back to the table it was filled to the brim and more than spicy enough. Every time I compliment them on the food after the meal all they say is "Please!".

Food - I can only speak to the vegetarian options. They have all the standards and they do them well. Their sauces and curries definitely have a lot of flavor. They tend to go easy on the spiciness of the dishes, so if you want it spicy, make sure to emphasize that. This place definitely has some of the tastiest Indian cuisine in town!

I urge my fellow Portlanders to make the trip across the state line to go to this restaurant. Portland is not great for Indian food, in my opinion. If you want the best Indian food, Beaverton/Hillsboro and Vancouver are your options. Abhiruchi in Vancouver is where you need...

INSANELY GOOD! I moved down from Seattle where I used to eat out at least two meals every day. That being said, I am extremely picky.

I found this place completely by accident while looking for a place to make a U-Turn. It is so hard finding a good restaurant let alone authentic Indian cuisine.

It started with the sauces that they served with the complimentary flatbread. The flavors were amazing. I was excited for the food but curious as to if I would be let down with my entree.

As I was really trying not to eat any more of the cracker like bread I was surprised that my meal came out super fast (as well as the others around my table). Now sometimes when you arrive at a restaurant later in the evening the food is kind of dry, not so here. The chicken that I had fell apart with the slice of my fork. The taste was exquisite. Since the portion was a nice size I planned on saving some for the next day. I COULDN'T do it. I got halfway and decided to just take a few more bites, then a little tiny bit more, then what the heck, the whole plate!

It was a delightful meal. Probably some of the best Indian food I have had including while I lived in Vancouver Canada the home of many East Indians.

I live in Beaverton now but I will drive back probably once a week cause not only did I find MY Indian food spot, I found the first of my "Go To" restaurants.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE customer service. I should have read the reviews and shouldn’t have come here. I came all the way from Portland, OR looking at the reviews and I should have avoided coming here, wasting my time and money.

Ordered through their app and was to pay at store. I told the serving lady (short stout Hindi speaking) twice that I had to pay in store. She still gave me the food without listening. Went back to my car to tell my husband that I have to pay and will call the owner and we waited in the parking lot to give him a call. The lady came out of the restaurant and banged my car window terribly. I had a newborn who was so scared of this. She made a huge ruckus blaming that we were fleeing without paying while I told her that I said her twice that I needed to pay and she gave a deaf ear and literally pushed me out with the order. She was fighting with my husband and me in the parking lot and just making noise to cover up her mistake. She was harassing me and getting in my car to fight with my husband who was feeding my baby.

The serving lady is so disgusting that she was touching me and harassing saying that I have to pay or she will lose her job. I told her I was telling her that I needed to pay and she was the one who refused.

The owner was nice to hear me out but fire that lady. She harassed me so badly.

I will file a police complaint on you guys for harassing me like that.
