Burgerville is a half star above fast food. The indoor atmosphere is dated and typical, hard, uncomfortable fast food plastics. The food is sourced regionally as much as possible.
That said, the texture and quality of thier burger meat took a noticable dip for most of the last fifteen years. More recently, they have been working to bring standards back up in food quality. Prices have increased markedly...as they have everywhere.
That said, I and my spouse had the #6 burger, to go, with Carlton farms meat patty and melty white cheddar...all with the option of a Franz gluten free bun. I am celiac, so that is what we ordered.
I remember the fresh, cheesy, salty, perfect fat ratio burger mouthfee of old drive-ins when I was younger. The #6, with the Franz gluten free bun, was that fond memory revisited.
Our two quarter pounders and two regular fries came to about thirty...but four of that was the gluten free bun I am so thankful I have the option of.
I do wish they offered GF onion rings or kept sweet potato fries on the menu year round. Thier basic fries are ok...just need to be left in the oil another thirty seconds, I think.
The burgerville spread is heavy on the mustardy, vinegar notes. I mix some avacado mayo and bbq sauce with it and it's much improved for tater dipping.
For the quality, the knowledge I am supporting local ranchers and local farmers and the experience of employees who have never made me sick, Burgerville is the only burger stop for me in Clark County. I hope the Carlton farms patty is permenant. It's well worth paying a...
Read moreI was very interested in trying this place after reading an article that touted it as the In-N-Out Burger of Oregon. That being said, my palate will probably never crave Burgerville like it does In-N-Out. I had the pepper bacon cheese burger. It had a strong mustard cheese sauce. I like both mustard and cheese on my burgers, but I thought it could use more tomatoes and or ketchup, which I don't recall tasting. Overall, I felt it was meh. The fries were tasty, but nothing particularly special. I did appreciate the dairy free options for the shakes, as I am lactose intolerant, and sometimes don't feel like taking lactaid pills. We had the strawberry one. I liked it. Half my kids said it tasted too much like coconut though. We also got an ice cream based sweet cream shake. I liked the idea, but there is a reason why all restaurants that offer ice cream and shake options always have vanilla, and Burgerville doesn't. Although, I get it that maybe that is what this place is going for. It is trying to be unique in a few select ways. For me, it wasn't enough to truly stand out. Next time, I will definitely try the halibut and chips, as I noticed the sign advertising the sustainable fishing practices. If it is convenient to go here again, I will, but I probably won't drive out of my way for it...
Read moreI honestly can't say enough good things about the employees here, and not one time have we experienced a bad experience with them, the few times I've ever had something wrong with an order, they're quick to make it right, and then some. I could go on and on with how kind and generous they are, no words could show my appreciation for they're kind hearts. They've helped me when my cards been declined and I had only a few pennys in my wallet, so embarrassing, yet they were so humble and forgiving, gave me my order for no charge!😊 So helpful during hard financial times right now and always have a hungry kiddo. They've given my 5yr old son free ice cream cones, and always chat with him and say funny things to make him smile while he's waiting patiently in the back seat. My son will ask me if he can pick one of the small pansies that are usually growing right by the drive thru, summer time,so he can give it to the cashier at window,so cute, he already knows how to make the girls blush, lol,☺️ They're all so sweet to us,I absolutely love Burgerville. My only complaint is I wish they had more stores across the US so we can eat they're delicious food anytime we're on road trips and traveling...
