I absolutely enjoy carlos birrieria, but my last experience has brought me to the point of reporting it here. On August 31st, 2024, around 10 p.m., I ordered some 6 quesa birrieria and a side of consume. After taxes and fees, it came up to $37.77 and said it would be ready around 10:15pm. So when I went to pick up my order, the food cart was completely dark and unlit. But there were workers still there, so I walked up to the window and asked if they were close because I had just put in an order right before. I was informed by a worker that they were having electrical issues and that my order had been refunded. So i said okay and left and didn't think anything about it. Almost 3 weeks later, there is still no refund, so I pulled up to the location and inquired about my supposed refund and how it'd been almost 3 weeks. The young guy calls his boss, and his boss basically tells him to get my info and he will call me in regards to the matter. Okay, I think things will be fixed, and I'll get what I was owed. I get a text almost immediately from the kids' boss, and I insist on calling instead to get from beating around the bush. After speaking with him, I was very confident that they would make things right after sending all the information I had on the order. He said he'd get back to me as soon as possible and see what he could have done about it. So, just around now (9:20pm) I get a call back from this guy, and he basically tries to tell me that even though I ordered through the carlos birrieria website that I need to contact doordash because they didn't pay them what they would have received for my order. And that doordash kept all $37.77 even though I never ordered through doordash. I have no order number and no way of getting any info on my order from doordash. I'm absolutely infuriated that they would respond in this matter, and like I said, originally, I absolutely love the birrieria they serve and never have had issues until then but this is absolutely bullshit đŻ my hard earned money down the...
   Read moreWas excited to try a birrieria taco place closer to my home but was severely disappointed with the delivery. I waited over 45 mins for my order, which may be typical for them with an order over $70, but also considering they forgot 4 items from the order I think that a little frustration is in order. I also did not appreciate the implications that we had received the missing items and that I just came back to try to get some free food. I now realized I should have checked my order before I left but I was not expecting to be received with such friction and disrespect when returning to get food I had paid for. Upon returning they, again almost forgot 2 out of the 4 items till I reminded them. I expected to return explain the situation have them go through the receipt history (as I did not revive a receipt but if I ever do decide to go back I will make sure to ask and check my order before I leave đ). Instead I explained the situation was asked to still pay for it. I told them I was not paying for food I should have already received and have already paid. They then called the owner, with whom I spoke and I had no issues also explaining the situation to her until it was said that the items were put in the bag and that I was back to try and get free food.    Read moreOrdered through Doordash. Let me tell you, the pizza birria is phenomenal, gorgeous, delicious to the max. It came with a cup of comsumme, limes, and two sauces - avocado and hot. It was soooo good. We also got the cheeto chimichanga, which was tasty but a little small for what I am used to for chimichangas. Rice and beans were nice, especially with leftover consumme drizzled on top! The Agua frescas were so fresh and huge. The only thing that was iffy was the chamoy rim on the drinks. This is fine when you're eating there in person, but not great for ordering delivery or pick up because the chamoy is all over the outside of the cup. This can be a problem if your car or your delivery driver's car isn't pristinely clean inside. I don't want dust in the chamoy, so would instead suggest putting it inside the lid of the cup so it's a little more clean for delivery....
