I always eat teriyaki beef ribs here and they are always beautifully charred. The portion is good size.
Edit:. From 4 stars to 1 star. Teriyaki beef ribs is still good. Service, on the other hand, is one of the worst. My wife and I ordered the usual teriyaki ribs and udon soup for share. We asked for another bowl. Unfortunately, we got a dirty bowl. I was literally scraping bits of dried things (food?) off of it. No big deal so I headed to the counter to ask a clean one... as politely as I could. "Can I have a cleaner bowl?" The server took the bowl and threw it in the pile, banged the door as she went to the back to get a clean one, and with a comment "Just so you know, 99% of my bowls are stained." she handed me the bowl.
We understand that dishes get stained because of the water here in vancouver. But it's not just stain. Secondly, I asked politely. Isn't it just fair that we be treated accordingly and not get some attitute? All I asked was a clean bowl to eat my food. Is that something to get worked up for?
The food is nice but because of the (dis)service, we didn't enjoy it. So much so that as soon as we finished the meal we decided it's going to be the last. We eat there at least twice a month but we decided it's not worth the hassle anymore.
Edit: from 1 star to 5 stars! Nothing beats the...
Read moreWanting to get high and grab dinner I randomly chose this restaurant in a Google search. Much to my surprise the food here is pretty damn good and everything is executed damn near perfectly.
The flavors are on point, everything is salted to perfection, The rice is made perfectly and the servings are big. I'll definitely be coming back to this place and spreading the word to others to pay a visit, I'm excited to try the other options on the menu as my introduction to the restaurant so far has been nothing short of spectacular.
for dinner I had the teriyaki chicken with the tempura shrimp, the tempura was perfect Nice and light, The sauce that came with it was not too salty it was liquidy which is perfect for the temporar to soak it up. teriyaki chicken, hey it's teriyaki chicken what can you say about it? it's pretty standard but it's good as hell, I'm excited to try the other menu options.
For every good restaurant there is room for improvement because there is no perfect restaurant, I have to subtract stars because they are still serving in styrofoam boxes, can we please as a society move away from styrofoam in the areas that we can? this is my only negative, The gentleman at the cash register was very friendly, likable and just offered great customer service and Lastly the atmosphere is...
Read moreFor those of you who might consider doing take out during this time because you are sick of cooking three meals a day for your family😉 I would highly recommend Youskyme Teriyaki. They are a beautiful Christian family who have been open for 19 years. They make the best teriyaki I have ever eaten. In fact I've never ordered anything there other than their Hot Teriyaki Bowl. When its that good, why order anything else! They are exceptionally clean, and they take every precaution. Plus I guarantee you your heart will be blessed by just going in and talking to them while you wait for your food. I've never promoted a place, and I never eat out because of food intolerances.... but youskyme's is the exception. I've never gotten sick eating there, and I have never once been disappointed in my food. I can't say that about any other restaurant. It's even delicious as leftovers. Alright I'll stop going on and on and on.... but seriously, give it a try... I've been going there for over 10 years and they know me by name and by my order which I could say is embarrassing.... If it were not for the fact that it's so delicious I...
