Choosing a local bakery to provide quality desserts for a special occasion can be an exciting prospect. It gives a sense of supporting local businesses and indulging in delicious treats. However, my experience with Forevers Bakery shattered my expectations and left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. From a complete lack of organization to condescending customer service, Forevers Bakery failed to meet even the most basic standards of professionalism and customer care.
Our anticipation for our grandson's first birthday celebration was quickly replaced with frustration and disappointment when we arrived at Forevers Bakery to collect our family's pre-paid order. After showing the receipt, we were shocked to be informed by the owner that our entire order had been given to another customer earlier that day. Any hope of resolving the issue in a satisfactory manner was quickly extinguished when the owner nonchalantly offered a refund but refused to remake our order. The refund offered was nothing more than a hollow gesture, as it did nothing to rectify the dire situation we found ourselves in.
The family had specifically chosen Forevers Bakery to provide desserts for our joyous gathering because we believed they would deliver exceptional quality. We recognized the significance of delectable baked goods in enhancing any celebration, especially one attended by numerous family members and friends. The owner's dismissal response of our request for a remake left us in a time-sensitive predicament with no suitable alternative in sight.
In a small attempt to salvage the situation, the owner belatedly retrieved our order from the customer to whom it had been mistakenly given. Unfortunately, her lack of care and professionalism became glaringly apparent when the cake was returned to us in a visibly damaged and unsuitable state. The notion of serving food that had left the bakery and spent time at the personal residence of another customer was deeply unsettling to our family. We expected our baked goods to be handled with the utmost care and prepared fresh for our event in light of post COVID lockdown.
When I requested a remake of our order, explaining that there was still a 24-hour window before our celebration, the owner's response was nothing short of disdainful. She laughed at me under her breath and categorically refused to entertain the possibility of rectifying their mistake. Throughout the entire exchange, her condescending and demeaning tone made us feel as if we were the ones at fault.
Mistakes happen; that much is understandable. A sincere apology coupled with a genuine effort to rectify the situation can transform a negative experience into a positive one. Unfortunately, Forevers Bakery failed spectacularly in this regard. Instead of working towards a customer oriented solution, they made us feel like an inconvenience and disregarded our valid concerns.
It is worth noting that this entire ordeal could have been easily avoided had Forevers Bakery employed even the most basic organizational measures. It is truly disheartening that an establishment supposedly committed to providing quality goods did not prioritize such rudimentary procedures.
While it is possible that Forevers Bakery's food quality might meet acceptable standards, we will never know. The abhorrent treatment we received from the owner overshadowed any potential positive aspects.
Forevers Bakery's handling of our order and subsequent interaction with us as customers was a profound disappointment. From the disorganization that led to our order being given to another customer, to the owner's refusal to remake our order and her condescending demeanor, the experience was nothing short of a complete letdown. We had hoped to celebrate our grandson's milestone with delectable baked goods from a local business, but Forevers Bakery failed us at every turn. It is my sincere hope that this review serves as a wake-up call to Forevers Bakery, urging them to reevaluate their practices and prioritize customer satisfaction and professionalism...
Read moreI was excited to try this new-to-me restaurant and bakery and sorely disappointed with my experience. I ordered the avocado toast with a sunny side up egg and it came with their house potatoes. It took 20 minutes for our food to arrive (there were three in my party) and all the dishes were served at room temperature. The three items on my plate were heavily peppered and aside from salt and pepper, the potatoes were tasteless. When asked how our meal was shortly after we got it, I let the lady know that the food was room temperature and the pepper was on everything. The response I received was that the menu for the avocado toast says pepper on it, the potato seasoning is salt and pepper, and that if I didn't want pepper on the egg, I should have asked for it to be left off. It's true that it says pepper on the menu for the avocado toast and when ordering, I mentioned to the lady who took my order that I was having a hard time reading the menu on the wall and not offered an alternative way to read it (QR code or paper version). One of our dishes was biscuits and gravy and a scrambled egg. Ironically, there was no pepper in the gravy which IS customary for breakfast gravy. Because it was served cold, the lady microwaved it to heat it up. Another couple waited at least 20 minutes for their food, having to be asked twice what their order was, served in to-go boxes when they'd ordered dine-in, and told the lady their potatoes were cold. She offered to take them off their bill but was unable to find their ticket and offered free cookies instead. The baked goods looked delicious but after our experience with the food, we didn't want to risk it. The coffee decanter was empty. Their tables were full so I'm assuming at other times they've had better food and service. Based on my experience, I will not be returning and do not recommend...
Read moreI called because I wanted to see if they had any cupcakes for my gender reveal today. It's just me , my mom and my kids and my husband. So only 5 cupcakes. I asked if she could put the gender color under the frosting, she said yes originally, she told me it would be "5.50 per cupcake a bit up there" her words, she said, I said "oh, that's fine". Then afterwards she says "ok, it's going to be six dollars each" and I said oh that's a little expensive her, why the increase"? She told me to call somewhere else and hung up on me. I called her back and asked for her name and so I could speak to the manager. She claimed that she was the manager. I let her know I would be writing a review so the owner could know about her. The manager said no you don't have to do that. I said oh yes I need to. I also let her know that I never said I didn't want the Cupcakes. I just wanted to know why she went up on the price after quoting 5.50 as the price. I definitely wanted the Cupcakes, but after being hung up on and being treated that way , I do not want to support a company like that. It's very unfortunate that there are people like this in the world especially with it being a bakery knowing that lots of families go there. I am a non confrontational person but I do think the owner needs to know about the manager and then hanging up on customers and treating them very poorly. This lady needs retraining and this company needs a new manager to run a business especially knowing that children and families come in here. I would not recommend this place after the service I have received. I hope the owner sees this message and finds out about her miniature. This happened today 03/15/2025 at...
