Ok so Taco Tuesday , we decided to come here. We were a large group, but when we got there there was 2 4 tops other than our group. We explained to the waitress we understood it was going to take awhile to feed us. Well seemed gracious and we settled in for the long haul. Well as we were ordering about 40 min after we got there, she started delivering wrong food everywhere. We were good sports and took what we got. Then came the bills; everyone at all 4 tables wrong. We were even rolling with that, but when one of our couples at the table had already paid and we tried to explain that to her. She had nothing but attitude. We just paid and that’s when she told me THIS CAN NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. If you don’t make a reservation we will not serve you. I was absolutely shocked literally there was maybe 8 people that came in during the time we ate. We were at least a thousand dollars for her restaurant, and were very gracious with everything as we knew it was a lot. Right up until I paid my bill and she went in on me, my review was going to very good!!! Even though all the aforementioned problems because she had pushed through. But alas some people just don’t know when to be quiet and let it roll . She cost her restaurant any future business from 30 locals and however many this...

I was wondering at the audacity of a Mexican place moving in right next door to another Mexican place… like overkill, but I thought, what the heck, I’ll try it out. I’ll say, straight up. The enchilada was great, even though it was expensive. Lots of different flavors, fresh, I loved the little potatoes. I liked the black beans. I like you are served tortilla chips and the salsa was great which is a service that is fast disappearing from Mexican places. But now I’ll tell you what I didn’t like. That enchilada took forever. I mean bizarrely long with no explanation whatsoever. And was it worth the wait? Not really. The waitress was nice, but it was strange. And something else. Maybe it was just the night, but I didn’t see any Latinos in the restaurant eating. Most of the patrons were older Caucasian folks. Next door at Don Pedro’s, where the food is also great and much faster as well as much cheaper, there is a much more mixed crowd. And to be completely honest, is where I will be taking my business. It’s not as fancy, but it’s very good and I don’t sit there starting to feel like I’ve fallen into a time warp. I understand they were busy, but at those prices you hire more help or you lose customers. Top dollar for a particular cuisine requires top performance. That, is...

If you're looking for a good plate, good service and a peaceful atmosphere, it's all right here at La Valentina. The food is so good. We have ordered several different dishes and all were delicious. I highly recommend their taco salad, definitely not your average taco salad. Had a great flavor throughout. I also enjoy a virgin Pina Colada here, you can taste that it's made with real fruit and not just blended with a mix like most restaurants. Oh and the fresh chips and salsa they serve upon arrival are AMAZING, so fresh and flavorful!

The service is great, the servers are all very friendly and check on your table throughout your dining time. The restaurant is clean and the restrooms are some of the nicest and most well kept I've seen at a small restaurant I've seen. And yes, this matters too.

La Valentina really puts in a lot of effort in making your experience a good one and it shows. The quality of food is amazing and you can taste the difference.

Only suggestion I'd make to them is add some music at a low volume so it gives that mexican restaurant ambiance we want! Other than that, great place, great people and great food! Love this gem and highly...

Do NOT get delivery or takeout!!! I have been here several times with my partner. Today I was in a meeting and we are both sick so I thought Grubhub!!!! Boy was that a mistake! Apparently they tried to call because my tacos had $0.00 as the price. How would I have noticed that? That is a website problem. So now one of us is without food. First problem. Then the driver left the enchiladas at the restaurant. So I tipped someone for an incomplete delivery. That’s the second. I had to go in, while sick and grumpy now to get the enchiladas and to discuss the tacos. The young gentleman was kind but the manager or owner woman acted like it was MY error. Wrong! And no, I don’t want you to make the tacos now and to pay now. I wanted the convenience of delivery while sick. Now everything is cold and I don’t even want it, The customer service was awful! Not an apology from the owner. I’m disgusted at how she treated me. I used to love going there. I let my partner have my enchiladas and they weren’t even made like enchiladas! I am disappointed and do NOT recommend for takeout.

La Valentina was better than I thought it would be and it's a sit down, waited place rather than walk up. First, the carne asada was almost as if I made it myself in the backyard on coals. Definite 🔥 flavor and it was still tender and that's impressive. I went for the sopa de albóndigas (meatballs) and it was a little different being chicken meatballs rather than beef, but still really good for a not so common soup to find in restaurant. Serving it with that fresh tortilla quesadilla was great too given a tomato based broth. The salsa... definitely fire roasted bidniss in there and almost too good (albeit not really spicy). My oldest would probably drink it if she finds it in the fridge...damn salsa fiend. Then just a big ol tamarindo jar to wash it all down because because. Definitely going to try some more things there.
