Peet's Coffee — Restaurant in Vancouver

The coffee here is just OK. Typically the brewed coffee is too bitter for me.

Inside is just a typical coffee shop with five or six tables, clean bathrooms and plug-ins for your laptops. There are some seats outdoors as well.

The lattes are good but usually too sweet. Almost every time I order a latte I have to go back and have it re-adjusted so that it tastes right.

The big problem with this store is the customer service. People like to complain about Starbucks, probably because Starbucks is the king of coffee shops, but when something goes wrong at Starbucks they will fix it for free. Every time.

Today my wife ordered me a latte. She was supposed to get me a quad shot but she ended up getting a double shot. The drink was somewhere around $5. I took it back in and told them the mistake. I kind of expected them to just add a shot or two to the drink and not charge me. But I also thought that they might charge the difference between the price of a quad shot and the price of a double shot. Either solution would have been fine with me.

But no, they wanted to charge me over three dollars for two shots, bringing the price of the drink to over $8. I tried to explain to them that that was ridiculous, but the guy said, "We have to charge you for the labor."

So I just had them give me a plain coffee. And yes, that plain coffee cost me over $5. Customer service? I...

I make online orders here every Sunday. But this Sunday the cashier was so rude for no reason. My order isn't where it normally was, and was placed in a bag by the door so I missed it. I patiently waited and then asked. They just told me to put another order in. But I said I already paid. So they were just totally okay with me ordering more than once, even though I already paid. I just rolled my eyes and left. Bc it would've taken her two second on her tablet to see that she just made my order. I thought someone stole it. I've worked in customer service myself for yearsss. Miscommunications happen but there is no reason for the cashier to be rude and snotty. She acted like she didn't want me to be there even though it's her job and I was being kind the...

I like their coffee, a lot actually, though there are many other good coffee places in the area that I personally prefer. I must say that their blended drinks do stand out to me as great. Today I got a pumpkin spice latte, which was pretty good for the coming autumn season. While service at this Peet's location is always nice and I've never received a drink with mistakes, they're pretty slow in distributing drinks, even when they have a pretty solid amount of members in their team. They do get a regular stream of business, though I think their waits are a lot longer compared to other places, and I'm not sure...
