Target — Local services in Vancouver

I love target, I think you go in knowing what to expect, especially during the holidays. It’s so busy and it’s not realistic to expect the store to be gleaming. I shudder when I hear interactions between customers and employees sometimes because people can be so mean to someone who is just doing their job! Well, today I had an awful experience that was the reversed way around, I, the shopper, was treated like trash by a lead associate. It was not just something you could chalk up to “oh, she’s had a long shift” or “that poor woman is exhausted” it is was beyond just being a little cranky. She spoke to me in the most condescending way, I really felt that she was accusing me of doing something shady. She went in a circle of condescending remark after remark. It was just so bizarre and I really left feeling like I was going to cry. Anyways, the reason I really wanted to write this is not because of her. Believe me I could bake her. But because there is another associate, Katie, who just made the situation so much better. I really can’t say enough good about her. She was quick to step in, she offered empathy, and proposed a quick solution. I really didn’t think a solution was possible, I just wanted to feel heard and share my experience. Not to be dramatic but the way I was spoken to…had I been someone who was just hanging on…I can’t even imagine. My point being, I didn’t expect anything to be done and was at peace just with the interaction in itself. Then she really went above and beyond and that stunned me. Things are tough for all right now, and a little humanity goes a long way. Big thanks to her. If anyone reads these, please thank your employee. She really works hard and tries to abide by targets culture. As for the other associate, I know everyone has an off day… but man. Hopefully she can take this as a learning experience. This is information straight from an inside source. This place is a mess. I'm pretty sure everyone inside this store is stealing. A young man came in the store and went to the back and stole a 700 scooter. That's insane. That's an inside job. The employees are the ones stealing. I cam in the other day to grab some extension for my computer and watched a girl clip the headphones off the display model. Their was not one employee around. I personally was looking for an employee for 10 minutes straight. The store is a war zone. Shoes all unorganized the clothing isnt any better.

The beautiful girl that works the mens department is the best employee in the whole joint. Young but she has style and class.

One night a man came in the store. He was asked to leave because he shop lifting. He didn't leave he proceeded to the dressing room where he passed out and then went into a dressing room and made a fool of himself inside. Then continued shopping touching the mens products. That young worker was told to clean up his mess. She had no gloves on and had to touch the dirty clothes that had mens junk on it. She's 16 years old. This store needs to be shut down. They have no managers, the turn around is fast due to the stealing and people coming in saying they are going to shoot up the place.

Big shoutout to Georgette, I believe she was a manager. She was a big help on 10/27/25, I was doing some last minute shopping, and she managed to find an item that wasn’t on the shelves but was still in stock. Super straight forward and helpful quick and great conversation on where she could find it as well. Another thing there was a younger gentleman man with black glasses who I initially asked to help find the item, but it wasn’t his area of expertise. He was stocking a different area than he’s used to, So he apologized in not being able to help as much but he was clear and responsive. Super helpful regardless. Lastly another lady who i unfortunately didn’t get her name was kind enough to tell me that the shopping cart I was using was a staff cart and not a normal cart. We both laughed it off and I almost died of embarrassment but the lady made me feel okay and offered to get a basket or another cart but I politely refused cause I was able to carry everything I needed. Good job team you guys did great. I come here occasionally and I’ve yet to have a bad experience keep up the grand work!
