Iâm an Amazon Delivery Driver doing Early AM Deliveries, so almost everything is closed this early.
I decided to go to this Starbucks as I could see in the Starbucks App and on Google Maps, that it was listed as open.
I Ordered a coffee at 5:53 a.m. to the in-store pickup counter hoping to use the bathroom, while waiting for my order to finish up.
I tried the front door and noticed they were locked, even though the open hours said 4:30 a.m.
I drove up to the drive thru box, and let the Barista know that I had only placed a mobile order inside, so that I could use the bathroom.
I asked when the lobby opened, and I was told 6:30 a.m. I asked if I could please use the bathroom as I badly had to go. I was told no. Not, no Iâm sorry, or anything similar. Just flat out no.
I wouldnât have ordered a $7 coffee, had I know I wouldnât be able to use the bathroom while waiting on the order.
Why doesnât your Google listing or the Starbucks app show hours for when the lobby is open?
I used to work at Starbucks from January 2019 thru June 2020. Since when did opening your lobby, not match up with your actual opening hours?
When I opened my location at 5 a.m., the lobby was open as well. I clocked into work at 4:30 a.m. and did all the prep work, before opening at 5 a.m. which matched the official opening hours on the Starbucks App and on Google Maps.
Iâm only giving a 1 star because of how poor your customer service is, and for not having lobby hours listed in the app nor Google Maps.
I can respect your rules if they were explained to me and in a kind manner for not opening the lobby until later, but just being told straight up no, thatâs unacceptable. Not the type of customer service I wouldâve provided to my customers. I wouldâve been okay with a âno, Iâm sorryâ and an explanation as to why, vs just being told no.
Coffee was okay, nothing to complain...

Obnoxious and rude, saying "Have a bad day". The manager had the same attitude and ordered me out of the store, refusing to give me the code to the restroom. Quite a few stores are asking if you have made a purchase first, based on this new policy, most don't ask, but no store has been as offensive about it until this one.
Been reading some reviews, looks like nearly all comment on the poor attitude of the staff at this location. I think it's time for a review of management here. The poor attitude that I experienced has permiated the staff and that is tied to one person. I should go back and get her name and photo to post here. Maybe it's tied to the homeless population around this location that other reviewers mention. Maybe they have become embittered dealing with the drug addict freeloaders who want just to use the restroom. Maybe that's why Starbucks instituted the policy of only customers using the restrooms, which is admirable because I have become irritated at having to wait and wait for some homeless stinking person hogging the restrooms and then dealing with their mess. Problem is that now everyone is getting the homeless animosity directed at them instead of hospitality.
A couple days later: just went to the Park Place location and was greeted with a smile and "are you Willis, here's your order and the restroom code". Couldn't have been as different as night from day than the 18th and...
Read moreI just got off of an overnight shift. It's 25ⰠF outside, I'm freezing and tired, so I decide to stop here for coffee. At the drive-thru window, I noticed a man behind me, standing in line. He had on jeans, a t-shirt, and a zip-up jacket. He was shivering. I never do this kind of thing, so it took everything in me to shout out to him, "sir, did you order a drink?" He responded "no, the guy behind me did" So I replied "let me buy you something, what do you want?" I just wanted to get him a hot chocolate or something to keep him warm. Before he could respond to me, a lady who I assume to be the shift supervisor leaned out the window and shouted for him to leave the line, as it's a safety hazard for him to be there without a car. He said "ok, when does your lobby open?" To which she repeated that he needed to leave the line. He asked again when the lobby opened. She hesitantly said "7 am, but..." then proceeded to tell me not to talk to "them" as it causes problems for the workers. I wanted to tell the guy to walk to the front and I'd meet him there with a hot chocolate, but he was gone before I could.
I'm just livid at this experience. I've worked retail, including Starbucks, for 5 years. I know what it is like to deal with transient people. I understand there are safety policies in place. But this could have been dealt with very differently. The man didn't seem like he wanted anything more than somewhere warm to be. He was coherent and very polite. The employee could have had some amount of humanity while...
