The Tostilocos is the most fun you can put in you mouth! A blend of papaya and mango and pork rind, and Tostitos and Japanese peanuts and chamoy and lime and I know it sounds strange, but itâs amazing and fun and delicious and you donât know what youâre missing.
Paleteria La Super is an absolute treasure. A true hidden treasure and when I say hidden I really mean hidden. It sits in an industrial complex like a bright jewel in set in a block of cracked concrete. But once you walk inside there are more delicious popsicles and ice cream options than you could believe! If you canât bring yourself to try the Tostilocos (which would be a mistake) there are a ton of amazing ice cream combinations and incredible popsicles to have instead.
I sat and hung out for a while and watched a steady stream of folks coming and getting the most amazing looking treats. What in the world is wrong with me? I have been walking past places like this for years, and it never even occurred to me to go into them. I canât believe that I have been missing out on this kind of amazing food! Places like this, deeply ingrained in the Latino community have been invisible to me, and I have to say to the rest of much of the white community. We simply donât see them and I admit, I am a little ashamed by that. It is our loss.
Of course not only are the treats delicious, but the people I meet there are wonderful, welcoming and kind. I had an opportunity to sit and visit with the owners, and they could not have been more extraordinary and friendly. I am humbled in situations like these where I find such quality of service and care alongside such a great product at amazing prices. You can feel the pride they have in their products, in their family.
They had these cute little bicycle carts that they send out to events to sell popsicles, which I think is the most amazing idea ever! If youâre having an event, you should contact them! Imagine having these guys at your baseball game! I got like 10 of the Popsicles to take home and they were amazing! Absolutely delicious and really inexpensive!
Paleteria La Super is worth seeking out! Itâs worth a special trip. Itâs amazing! And let me tell you, from someone like me who has traveled the world quite a bit, it is authentic. It is very much like taking a short trip to Mexico. And that is a...
Read moreI finally decided to come try this place after a long time and took my family (about 10 of us ). The lady that served me kept rushing me to see what else I wanted I would order something and she would right away say âque mas vas a querer â did not have a friendly face whatsoever. She rushed me each time after every single thing I ordered and didnât even let me see the flavors or even finish my sentence when she would just cut me off and say that again. I also did witness them rush another gentleman that took his elderly mother , one was cashing him out and the other lady kept yelling at him what flavor he wanted while he was paying. She asked like 3 times even after he told her to wait that he was paying so he ended up running across the room to tell her the ice cream flavor. The same lady (blondish hair) that served my ice cream began sweeping all the area while I was waiting to pay and almost hit my sonâs feet with the broom he literally jumped up in the air . They were SO UNFRIENDLY. And as a business owner myself I can say that kind of attitude will easily scare off not just new customers but customers will also question their loyalty to return. I think what was most disappointing was so receive this type of service from my own race . They are lucky I donât like to be the one because I shouldâve just cancelled my whole order and stepped out after this experience but my kids wanted the ice cream. Sad to say I will not be returning even though the ice cream is delicious as well as the Elotes we got and that is THE ONLY REASON you get a two star. Please do better this service honestly seemed...
Read moreIâm reaching out to share some feedback regarding a recent visit to your store, as a long-time customer who has supported your business since its opening.
During my visit, I purchased a full container of your cheese ice creamâa product Iâve always enjoyed. However, I was disappointed to find that the container was not filled to its capacity. When I kindly asked the staff member (not the owner) to top it off, she declined, which came across as dismissive and unaccommodating.
While I understand that pricing and policies are at your discretion, itâs concerning when loyal customers feel undervalued, especially in light of the premium pricing at your establishment. Experiences like this raise questions about customer service standards and whether your staff is aligned with the level of hospitality your brand has built its reputation on.
Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling more disappointed than satisfied, and it has made me reconsider my support moving forward. I truly hope this feedback is taken constructively and encourages closer supervision and training around customer service...
