I've been going to subway for years. It was my alternative to fast food even though subway is considered fast food. Much healthier than the burger joints so I thought. I usually order the Veggie Delight. It becomes a little more unhealthy when I consume the bread and cheese. I have tried many items off their menu but ever since I started going to this place I usually order the same thing which is the veggie delight. Every time I go into this location it's always after 8:00 PM. The staff here are very friendly and know how to make a good sandwich with plenty of your favorite toppings. They also have a drive through window if you choose not to get out of your car when the weather is cold or raining. The drive through window is not open every time we go but the restaurant is open 24 HRs. We like to go inside because it super easy with parking directly in front for easy access and little to no wait time. One thing we don't like about subway in general is how they send you special offers that sound great. If you want a coupon you must go through this entire process of filling out and creating an account or registration then you get to the end only to find out its not what you thought you were getting. Then you call your local Subway store and they will tell you they can't help you because they don't deal with the on-line deals so you must contact corporate. Also sometimes the coupon only works at select locations. As I recall they were advertising their $5.00 foot long but depending on what location you visited you might have found that location decided to ban the sale. They claim it was hurting their bottom line. Not so convenient but more aggravating and a waste of time only to get disappointed. We still go there because it's one of the only places that stays open late plus we thought we were eating healthy. My daughter likes to order pretty much anything with chicken in it. Only after I had a had a serious health condition that caused me to look into the salt and sugar content of my meals. What I found out was Subway's food was not so healthy after all. While it may sound like a great meal that's better than a hamburger, think again. The Subway chicken and bacon ranch melt wrap is one of the worst choices at Subway. For one, it's loaded with sodium. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend limiting your intake to no more than 2300 milligrams a day. With just this one sandwich alone you have maxed out your entire daily intake of salt in one sitting. Processed meats or in Subway case, Highly Processed meats contain large amounts of sodium. The World Health Organization has classified processed meats including ham, bacon, salami and frankfurters as a Group 1 carcinogen (known to cause cancer) which means that there's strong evidence that processed meats cause cancer. Then you ad into the fact the amount calories and the amount of saturated fat is not the healthiest choice for people who are watching their weight or their diet. Not good for cancer concerned people. Some other factors that we have to consider are the ingredients used in the bread called azodicarbonamide. This dangerous chemical has been Banned in Europe and Australia. Of course America cares more about profit than your health so don't expect these companies to be held accountable any time soon. Then the last and final straw was the controversy that was released from a study that found Subway's chicken was only 50 percent actual chicken. The rest of the DNA in both oven-roasted chicken and chicken strips was found to be soy. The bottom line is we are sold through marketing and advertising that we are eating fresh and healthy only to find out it's not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI gave the food a one star but that isn't actually fair. I never received my food after 45 minutes of waiting. I tried the drive thru out for the first time. That was actually kind of fun. There was one car ahead of me at the pay window and a couple inside eating their food. 2 other couples came in while i was waiting. At 30 minutes when the car hadn't moved in front of me I got out of my car and walked up to her. To make sure there was someone in the car. I asked her if she was waiting for her food. She said yes. And she went on to explain they always take a very long time. I went back to my car. After 10 more minutes I finally drove around the car in front of me and went inside. There was 1 person waiting for her food and no one else seated. I said I had been waiting 45 minutes for my food and the person making a sandwich said we are very busy. I looked around and said " you only have one person in here" He stated that they had just had a rush. I mentioned that you consider 2 couples a rush. I then asked the sandwiches they are making where mine. He said no. I told him to cancel the order. And he said if that is what you want. As I was walking out the door I stated "you really just don't care"
I am sure subway has a average amount of time it takes to make a sandwich. I counted a total 4 sandwiches from the 2 couples in side. One sandwich for the lady that was waiting and what ever they made for the one person waiting in her car. So if I did the math right it was taking 7.50 minutes per sandwich.
After I left I proceeded to the Subway at 13521 SE 3rd Way Suite 100, Vancouver, WA 98684. I pulled in and they where looking pretty busy. But I was really craving Subway so I decided to give it a try. They looked like they where moving the line quickly. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The workers were very pleasant and I will be coming back. They hit it out of the ball park even though...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had a really frustrating experience at a Subway that I feel compelled to share. When I walked in, there was no worker in sight, and I waited for quite a while, hoping someone would show up to take my order. After a few minutes of standing there with no assistance, I decided to just grab a cup and serve myself a drink since I couldn't find anyone to ask for a simple cup of water. Just as I was finishing up, an attendant finally appeared, and instead of apologizing for the delay or even acknowledging the inconvenience, they sassily informed me that I would be charged for the drink. I tried to explain that I only helped myself because there was no one around to ask for water, but the worker was completely unsympathetic and insisted on charging me anyway. The whole interaction was incredibly rude and left me feeling really upset. It's ridiculous that I had to pay for a drink under these circumstances, and the lack of customer service was appalling. This experience definitely deserves a one-star rating, and I doubt I'll be returning to this location...
