I don't typically give gamestop my business and my experience today is exemplary as to why I avoid gamestop. I needed a few replacement ps4 cases and decided to stop in and check if they would sell a few surplus cases to me. I asked the less than interested gentleman at the counter if they had any cases for sale, he flatly says No. I explain that a few games got ruined and I was just in need of some new cases. He begrudgingly offers to go to the back room and check, when he returns he has two empty dvd cases in hand (which I had assumed I was going to pay for) I simply double checked with him and reasserted that I was in need of ps4 cases specifically. He then proceeds to lecture me in a very patronizing and abrasive manner, telling me, "not to look a gift horse in the mouth." At this point I am a bit dumbfounded considering I walked into the store with the intent to purchase new cases and potentially pick up a copy of the new God of War. I try to diffuse his increasingly aggitated state but the situation already escalated way above my comfort zone and I needed to remove myself. From this day on I will NEVER return to ANY gamestop for any reason. It is not worth suffering some of the employees god awful attitudes. Gamestop is by far the most toxic thing in...
Read moreThis GameStop branch has consistently performed poorly in terms of customer service. They don't honor the warranty customers purchase. It's bad enough to pay $60 for a 'game' but when you purchase the 1 year replacement warranty, they have never honored it. They claim their computers only go back 6 months and warranty info is not listed. In an age where they claim to have the latest tech in the gaming industry, why is it they have ancient database systems? If many other stores can offer purchase tracking as well as warranty tracking, I would think GameStop would be all over it. Other GameStop stores in the area do work with you to make sure you are taken care of to ensure you remain a loyal customer. This store doesn't care.
Do yourself a favor and drive down Mill Plain to the GameStop by the Wal-Mart & the 205! They take great care of their...
Read moreThis store is a nightmare. Went yesterday for a trade in. Made sure to call before to double check that I could trade in my device even though I was missing cords. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone said it was no big deal and they would drop about $5 off my trade in price. When I went there after. Guy was rude and tried to tell me I couldn’t trade in my device without cords. After I told him about my call he then said he could but would have to charge me over $40 for cords. I ended up leaving cause he was not friendly whatsoever. I went to another GameStop to see if I could get someone who would actually help. The new GameStop I went to only charged me $10 for both cords.
Clearly this guy doesn’t know how to do his job and needs proper training. Don’t waste your time with this store....
