Truly wish I could give them less than a star. Hubby and I have been wanting to try this place for a while and today we had the time to do so. From the moment we walked in the door we felt unwelcome. No one was at the host station. Several minutes went by and when a gentleman came up to us he grabbed menus and we followed hoping he was taking us to a table. No greeting, no eye contact. As soon as we were seated our waitress approached. No greeting just asked us what we wanted to drink. I paid her a compliment that her false eyelashes looked great and that was the extent of today's conversation. When she returned she asked for our order. Hubby asked if she liked the clam chowder. Her response she was "We don't get complaints about it." Wow, not much of a sales pitch. He did order it and we both ordered lamb gyros. The menu was very basic and there wasn't anything out of the ordinary. The chowder arrived and looked very different than any I have seen. Hubby said it tasted like beef broth. Once our waitress left I noticed there was an appetizer menu on the back of the wine menu on the table tent on our table. We saw a few we would have ordered but she did not return to check on us so we did not have an opportunity. She delivered our food and left. No ask of if we needed anything else, ketchup, extra napkins just walked away. The lamb and the pita were good but the tzatziki sauce was just plain sour cream. No dill, no cucumbers. Just sour cream from a tub. My homemade chips were heavy which makes me think the fryer was not drained and cleaned often. Hubby said his fries were not great either. Waitress brought the check and put it on the table. She did ask if we wanted dessert but when a server asks that after already ringing your bill, you know they want you to get out. We said no as we did not want to sit there uncomfortably any longer. Upon a review of the bill we saw that our server's name was Jamie and that the soup was $1 more than what was posted on the menu. We walked up to pay and looked at the menu again. We were correct. The woman ringing us up was new and was not sure how to fix it. She called for Jamie but a different woman approached. Between the two of them they deducted that the chowder was $1 more than the other soups on the menu. The menu does not state this. In fact, the menu doesn't state what soups they have. Nor does the specials board. And our waitress said so little to us that she did not say what they were. They said they couldn't adjust our bill but that they would tell the owner, who wasn't there at the time. Just another way of showing a customer that you don't care. The place seemed clean. It was pretty empty. But the decor is confusing. The sign by the road says they serve dinner but they close at 2:30. The inside has a down-home wood vibe but there's random car prints and Route 66 stuff hanging in the walls. But that's the least of their worries. Will not return. Do yourself a favor and don't visit, you'll just...
Read moreStaff is very rude. I even said something to my waitress asked if we were bothering her because she rolled her eyes and was acting like we were a nuisance. Never introduced herself just come up What do you want to drink very hostile. Ignored my 2 year old had to ask for her to get a drink she huffed. Get our food I asked for ranch she rolled her eyes and dropped it at the table saying here rudely. Got gyro and hand breaded pork tenderloin asked for an extra plate so we could give some to our daughter and she rolled her eyes again. I said to my husband did she just roll her eyes and he nodded. I was fuming so when she came back to toss the plate at us I confronted her. I was polite I didn't get loud like I wanted to. I asked if we were bothering her she said no. I said oh because you keep rolling your eyes so she responds with an attitude she didn't roll her eyes. So I told her well your coming off very rude and treating us rudely. She gets very nasty and goes okayyyyyy yeah sure and turns and walks away. If I wanted to be mean I would have asked for a manager I was just trying to help her realize how she was coming off. She never came back to table and gave our check to someone else to give to us. She would stomp pass us everytime she went by and was extra pleasant to the other tables she had or that came afterwards. Besides that 90% of the staff didn't even acknowledge you they were rude and seemed like they had better things to be doing then seating us or serving us. We are friendly.and always tip well say please and thank you. To be treated like we were is unacceptable. Owners/management need to rein that in. Food was fine nothing outstanding where it would be worth going back for that treatment. The pork was supposedly marinated but it definitely wasn't. My husband said he smelled something rotten like raw meat. He is a kitchen manager and cook so he knows. He was embarrassed that I said something because that is how he is but he said I wasn't wrong she was very...
Read moreHorrible ! A friend and I stopped in for a quick bite to eat on the way to Sarasota shopping. What a mistake. The restaurant was not busy less than half. The tables were full, so this should not have happened! We were promptly seated , my waitress was a little busy, which I didn’t understand, she greeted us, and then asked us for a drink order. Ok 2 cokes ! Unfortunately, it was all we had. I hadn’t seen my friend in a while so we were talking, we finished our cokes 🤷♀️ hello problem here. We watched three other tables get seated after us. Our waitress noticed the empty cokes and promptly brought two more. I said, ok foods coming out ! WE WAITED OVER A FULL HOUR FOR EGGS AND BACON I went to the service station to have 5 waitresses walk by and not even make eye contact ! At that point the seater asked me if I was looking for my check ? Nope food dear 🤷♀️ After an additional 20 minute wait our food partially came out , if you want to call it edible ? My friend's sunny side up eggs were at best medium with broken yokes , my OVER HARD BROKE YOLK WELL DONE EGGS ,were sitting in a puddle of grease and not even close to done! I looked at her when she sat it down and said , Seriously? She started a song and dance about how the potatoes aka hashbrowns was too wet and they were working on re-cooking them. I promptly told her NO THANK YOU ! We’re leaving! On the way out I asked a waitress how much the cokes were m she said you’ll have to wait a minute !!! Seriously I do not want two cokes I want to pay for my drinks .. 350 a piece. Seriously ? I tossed7 dollars on the counter , oh no no no you don’t have to pay for them !,,
