Cafe Zoomies — Restaurant in Ventura

Definitely a fun concept and unique to the 805, I think some improvements could be made as it gets better since they’re new. The coffee cart offerings were pretty bad, the cold brew and matcha were both really watery tasting so the pricing being the same as similar cafes in the area was not great. The sniffing the treats was an interesting time, but I guess adding stuff before asking was kind of awkward to the frozen cup, versus I think asking before pouring would’ve made more sense versus the rushed atmosphere of we poured it now pick the 5 stations right now before it melts? Some improvement could be to maybe have some partition since it seemed like once an area had 2-3 small dogs suddenly it was really packed versus maybe little pen partitions could be fun and less chaotic? Like the idea, execution may need work...

Finally! A place just for the pups! Our dogs absolutely loved Cafe Zoomies! The staff were so friendly and gave Gemma and Kiki so many options for their personalized pup cup! The cafe has sniff options so the dogs can choose their favorite smell which coincides to the treat! We didn’t get to try the human drinks since they were about to close, but the dogs loved their pup cup! We are always trying to find things for them to do and options are so limited. We are excited to come back and bring our other dogs! Don’t forget to sign the waiver when you come in. And the tables have leash hooks so the pups can sit at the table and enjoy their treat! Cheers from Midas to his favorite restaurant! I’d never been to a cafe for both people and pups and I’m not even sure they exist anywhere else! Cafe Zoomies just might be the first of its kind. Veronica and all the staff are so kind and helpful when I go. It’s across from the best dog park and even the music at Zoomies is 🤌🏽. Most importantly, Midas loved his barkuterie board!
