Title: Terrible Customer Service Experience at Pier Point Inn, Ventura Beach if you decide to stay bring a plumber!
Review:
I cannot express enough how disappointed I am with the abysmal customer service provided by the Pier Point Inn in Ventura Beach. My elderly parents recently stayed there over the weekend, and the entire experience was an absolute nightmare. First and foremost, the lack of basic amenities is appalling. There are no bellmen to assist with luggage, and to make matters worse, there isn't even an elevator in the establishment. It is mind-boggling that a hotel in this day and age would not provide such basic conveniences for their guests. Additionally, the inn boasts about its proximity to the beach, but that is nothing more than a misleading claim. The so-called "views" are actually of the highway, far from the serene coastal setting that was promised. This false advertising is simply unacceptable. When my parents finally made it to their room, they were greeted with the stench of bad plumbing. One would assume that the maid staff or management would have noticed this issue or at least checked the rooms beforehand, but that clearly was not the case. Instead, a plumber had to be called, and he arrived with noisy, clanky tools, causing even more disturbance. To make matters worse, the plumber had to work on the clog for hours, not leaving until 11:00 pm. This is completely unacceptable and shows a complete lack of regard for guests' comfort and well-being. In an attempt to resolve the situation, my parents sought assistance from the front desk staff, including a person named Liz. However, their efforts were in vain. They were offered a measly 15% discount on their room rate or the option to move all their luggage to the ground floor just to get a room facing the opposite side. Such options are not only inconvenient but also disrespectful to paying customers. Frustrated with the lack of assistance from the on-site staff, I reached out to the management via email. However, despite claiming to be always on call, they were nowhere to be found in the building. To add insult to injury, they read my email but failed to respond. This level of disregard for customer concerns is simply unacceptable. I strongly urge everyone to stay far away from this establishment. The Pier Point Inn clearly has no clue how to treat or take care of their guests. Save yourself the trouble and find accommodations elsewhere. There are plenty of other options up the street that will provide a more pleasant and customer-focused experience. Beware of the Pier Point Inn in Ventura; it is a...
Read moreI was just in town visiting March 28th-30th for a family visit. This hotel is at an ideal location with a beautiful walk way straight to the beach. It's walking distance to tons of restaurants, the downtown Ventura bars, and specialty shops. My favorite part is the board walk along the ocean where guests can enjoy a long beautiful walk, sit and watch the waves rolling in, rollerblading through the breeze, running, or biking along on this adventure. The views are absolutely stunning and the fresh air felt so invigorating. The beds are the most comfortable ever. I had the windows open with the shear curtains pulled. My bestie & I drifted into a peaceful sleep hearing the ocean with a mix of the freeway and felt the ocean breeze drifting into the room. This hotel is ideal as it is close to everything important in Ventura. During my stay, the gym was closed as well as the pool due to COVID times. However, it felt very safe and was overall clean. I always take the extra step and bring sanitizing wipes to do a secondary cleaning of surfaces. The service staff: house keeping provided excellent service, was friendly, helpful and promptly provided more towels. Alex at the front desk was friendly, offered good customer service. Carmina at the front desk checked me in and she was really helpful. I was first assigned a room that appeared to have a red stain on the floor that was concerning to me by the bed. I went to let her know...she Promptly informed house keeping and offered me another room in 311. Room 311 is special, it has a side view of the waves rollin' in. Thank you for caring, providing good service, and switching my room.
The Pierpont Inn is a very special property. I personally would love to see the historic areas refined and refurbished. The rich history in that property is beautiful and it deserves to shine brightly on the Ventura coastline for years to come. This property has some magical, peaceful, and beautiful elements that will be enjoyed by many more guests to come. I love that this place has tons of memories from my family. I remember hearing stories from my grandparents who use to visit and go to the property for special dinners. Overall, this property is a gem and I can't wait to stay again real soon....
Read moreI did a blind booking at Priceline, did not know what hotel I was getting just knew that it would be in Ventura and it would be a "deal". I paid $260 including tax and fees. I did enter online that it would be for 3 adults so I was expecting 2 double bed room. When I arrived Friday night at 8:00 PM. I sort of expected they might be full because it was Friday. We opened the door to the room only to find that it had a king size bed for 3 adults! I know we are family but... So I trudged back to registration to inform them that there might have been a mistake because I booked for 3 adults. The clerk said it was what Priceline booked for me so she can't change the room besides, the only room left with a double bed has no AC. Seeing my dilemma, I asked her for a roll away bed which she did not even offer. The housekeeping man delivers the rollaway bed folded up was about to leave with it still folded up. I had to stop him to ask him to unfold it, which he did. But then I noticed he forgot the pillows, so then he goes away to get me pillows. We were also shorted 1 set of towels and the shampoo dispenser was empty so he comes back with the shampoo. 2 out of 4 of the lightbulbs of the ceiling fan were out. The wall outlets were wonky, making the phone chargers fall out. Some paint were peeling and there were holes in the wall. The curtains don't close all the way, so the bright security light outside streams in through the gap disturbing sleep. It was one of those historic rooms, quirky but could use some upgrades. The good thing is the room was spacious, the AC was working, the window has a beautiful view of the ocean, the room came with a small patio if you like to have breakfast at your own patio and the shower was was working. But next time, I will book directly with the site and make sure I know what the room looks like and I won't book through Priceline, there...
