
I could only give three stars because of last saturday, november 23, but I decided on four just to be nice.
The Vernal Ice Rink Facebook page had every other day postings of hours of operation, in which I had consulted with before taking my daughter and her friends to go skating. Saturday open skate hours were posted as 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. but as of 2:08 p.m. they were closed. It wasn't until that we had arrived on location that we saw that they had a schedule change posted on the bulletin board, but in order for anyone to see the schedule change they had to be there in person in order to see it. There were several other parents who were voicing their opinions, and you don't want to hear what some of them were saying. Many of them had also consulted with the ice rink Facebook page before driving all the way down there for the 2:00 p.m. open skate session, just to find out that they weren't opening until 3:30 that day. Despite that the open skate time was cut in half, we were STILL charged full price! If the Vernal Ice Rink is going to post their normal schedule of operations, I feel that they should also post any schedule changes online so that we parents can plan...
Read moreGreat ice rink. Businesses really support youth hockey teams in this community. The rink is pretty cold comparatively so you'll want to have some extra layers or a blanket. It would be nice if they had some more seating here. A lot of people stand around the boards to watch games. The rink looks like a pro size rink rather than Olympic so it's narrower than the rinks...
