El Sombrero — Restaurant in Vernal

One of the WORSE Mexican food I've ever had. Food didn't look appetizing at all 🤢 Food tasted like it was heated up in the microwave , No Flavor. I never heard anyone fry anything ( we ordered some carne asada plate). The beans looked grossed!! Im a very shy person and didn't say anything when the guy from the kitchen came to ask " how was everything". My family and I were simply stunned at how the plates physically looked and tasted🤢😳 Specially my husband who's Mexican. The waitress her self And workers were kind♥️ but other than that everything else was AWFUL! I don't like posting bad reviews but seriously this is the worse food I've ever had and IDK how it has good reviews 🤐 ?? It's pretty questionable❓The saddest 67$ I've ever spent 😌 I really like supporting small businesses but this one is a NO GO FOR ME!

If you are looking for an friendly staff, delicious food that is autentica, you have to to try this place. Their chimichangas were spot on. My little one loved the quesadilla with the rice and beans. And my meal, birria, was out of this world. They had freshly chopped cilantro, onions, radishes, limes and more to add to the birria and other dishes.

If you want delicious food, in a clean friendly environment with a taste authentic Mexican dishes THIS IS THE PLACE. While you are there, if you want to add to the authentic experience try out a cold refreshing Jarrito, Jumex, Fanta, or Sangria.

Note: I saw a negative review talking about cold tortilla chips, the reviewer was right about the chips being cold. If all you care about is whether the corn chips are warm or not, probably not your place. But you are missing out on some delicious food and an enjoyable...

Excellent all-around. Good prices for all the variety of fresh condiments you can get from self-serve station, plus chips (which tasted fresh and toasted, not just salty and fried) and salsa.

I tried a small bean burrito, an al pastor taco, and a shrimp taco. All delicious and very fresh! 10/10 going back. I've tried a lot of the Mexican food trucks and restaurants in town and this is my new favorite, especially for the tacos (and since Plaza is just so expensive and I get the mole enchiladas there, not tacos).

Great family-friendly and casual atmosphere. I picked up my meal to-go and it was packaged well to take home, including the chips and salsa. Will be fun to go back and have everyone in the fam go and pick out their drinks to go with...
