The taste I was looking for in a Chicago-style pizza is spot-on here! However, I got a soggy thin crust pizza my first time ordering delivery. Perhaps it was due to their extremely generously portioned toppings bogging down the crust. They made it right by giving me a discount on my next order. The second order was absolutely perfect! (One topping per pizza MAX is all you need here, the amount is quite substantial!) Thank you!
Edit for next visit: went to pick up last night, (their stuffed crust is so awesome!) and my kiddo was eyeballing large cookies at the counter. I looked and the cookies didn’t have labels, and I told him “we can’t have these because we don’t know if they were made with peanuts or cross-contaminated with peanut products.” The gentleman behind the counter smiled said he will go find out. When he came back, he had the whole list of ingredients for me, and I was pleasantly surprised but thanked him and still declined, explaining that we’re usually extra careful about goods without labels. As I was paying, he noticed my child still examining those cookies, so he gives me a somewhat pleading look and looks back at my son. When I look down at my son, he sure was still looking at those giant cookies. I gave the gentleman a look of defeat and just as I was going to give in, he says, “you know what, why don’t you take a couple cookies home with you? How many siblings do you have at home?” Of course my son’s eyes lit up as he answered. With smiles all around under our masks, the gentleman refuses payment for the cookies and offers to walk the pies out to the car for us. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but THIS is the kind of customer service that local businesses need to model. I love pizza and Italian from other spots, but whenever given the choice, I will definitely support...
Read moreWe have been here multiple times and this time was a huge disappointment. It was our sons 12th birthday and he wanted to come here, when we arrived it was about 7:30p.m kinda crowded, our waitress took about 10mins to come to our table, we ordered drinks and our two appetizers mozzarella sticks and calamari. We were waiting on the free bread they usually bring out but nothing, our appetizers came out first well first the mozzarella sticks which were just warm no cheese pull, then 7mins later calamari those were good but some were soggy, still no bread we asked our waitress for bread came out 15mins afterwards. We had no utensils or napkins I had to get up and ask for them I the front, the untelsils were crusty on top and dirty. I ordered the chicken parmesan which doesn't come garlic bread just the pasta, the chicken was tough and grisly I only ate a couple bites, my husband ordered the cheesy beef said it was just okay that the fries was a disappointment, birthday boy ordered kids chicken fingers said they were good but not the fries.. For almost 70$ worth of food it was just ok, they should give you soup or salads with entrees or at least garlic bread... our waitress didn' check on us so I didn't say anything, it was the sweetest Hispanic girl that checked on is and cleared table refilled our drinks. So I mentioned that before to our waitress that it was our sons bday, they were supposed to let him pick his desert, but she just brought out cinnamon sticks which were okay but salty??? My so really wanted chocolate cake! so he was disappointed... All in all our waitress was no attentive, the food was just ok, mediocre and best, silverware was crusty and dirty, a huge let down for birthday...
Read moreWe frequently visit this restaurant, including a lot of takeout. Their pizza is always delicious. This review has to do with the manager, Polo. We ordered an extra large pizza and a large garden salad for takeout. At home we noticed the salad was partially frozen. The cucumbers were soggy and some of the lettuce was wilted due to the frozen condition. My husband called the restaurant and talked to the manager, Polo. He challenged my husband on whether the salad was indeed frozen. He said it was fine in the morning in the cooler. He wanted my husband to bring it back so he could look at it! Really? If he couldn’t bring it back (which my husband had no desire to get back in the car and drive it back) then he asked my husband to take a picture of the salad and send it to him so he could determine if it was frozen or not. Really? This was a nine dollar garden salad and we really shouldn’t have gotten into this back-and-forth dialogue with the manager. My husband sent a picture of the salad to the manager who then called my husband to tell him he thought it looked fine although the cucumbers looked like they could be a little off. My husband challenged him as to why he was making such a big deal out of this. The manager finally said he would put a nine dollar credit to our name for next time. It should never have gotten this far; we are local residents who frequent this restaurant and the manager should have handled this as a...
