Rosati's Pizza — Restaurant in Vernon Hills

I hate writing bad reviews, but I feel that it is necessary under the circumstances. I ordered a 22” double dough pizza from the Vernon Hills Rosati’s. I was fully expecting it to be excellent since I had heard nice things about them and the cost of the pizza was a whopping $30. I came to pick it up and the staff was extremely unprofessional. There were people shouting loudly in back and obviously having a good time. I do not mind this type of work atmosphere as long as the product is good quality and the amount of money I am paying for it is worth it, but what followed made the entire experience leave a bad taste in my mouth. When I got home with the pizza, I discovered that almost all the cheese and sauce had slid off of the top. Even this was not enough for me to write this review. When my wife went to work in the morning, she discovered that there was pizza sauce and cheese all over our front seat. I did not realize this since it was dark when I picked the pizza up. I had not tipped the pizza in any direction to make this happen. It sat flat on the passenger seat and the contents still slid off. I will also mention that the box was not entirely closed when they gave me the pizza. I tried to close it but it was a rather complicated box and I’m usually not accostumed to pizza incridients being so slidy. I will not be getting pizza from here again. I paid $30 for one of the lousiest pizzas I’ve had in my life and a mess in my car that will be a pain to clean. My suspicion is the staff...

They’re called TOPpings so you’d think they go on TOP of the pizza but nope, they put it under the cheese. They put a meat “topping” under the cheese when i ordered giardiniera so they got that wrong, but heres the sick part. When i went to my car, i always check my food, and it looked like they just forgot to put giardiniera on TOP of the pizza cuz of course its a TOPPING, and its the day of the superbowl, so i say to myself, “oh they forgot the giardiniera and im not gonna wait another 35-45 mins for them to fix it, no worries though.” I go home and we all (about 9 vegetarians, 2 of them being my inlaws…) bite into meat (ham i think? How should i know?) so i go back and they remake the pizza with cheese since i dont want to take another chance with toppings. Any pizza place with overall reviews that start with a 3-point whatever is a HUGE redflag. so here i am leaving this review and never taking another chance with this Rosati’s or any of them. I ordered a 14' pizza and some soda from this location for a team building exercise for my team. It says on the menu that a 14' pizza feeds 3-4. Ordering it was simple easier and nice. But when I received my pizza It definitely wasn't enough to feed 3-4 people. I called to confirm that it was definitely a 14' especially since i ordered it with pepperoni and there wasn't any on my pizza. I never raised my voice, didn't ask for anything and was extremely polite the man on the phone however was anything but. He was rude and condescending. He belittled me and I will never be coming back here. I also am a birthday coordinator that sends a lot of people to your business for their parties and I WILL NOT be recommending you any longer.
