Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Vernon Township

So I have been putting off writing this review for the past 10 or so trips to my local DQ, however, I guess it's time..... So, my observation is that there needs to be some sort of standard to follow when putting together your specialty ice cream dishes. I order exactly the same thing every time I go ..a Reese's PB Cup blizzard, but they are never the same! Sometime there is just a right amount of candy, sometimes there is a lot of candy, but more often than not lately, you can barely find the candy. Isn't there some sort of standard measurement to keep me from feeling "ripped off" when I get a cup full of ice cream and just a couple pieces of PB Cup candy bar? Well, the reason I finally decided to write is because tonight my husband got a boat full of banana and ice cream, but just a few drops of toppings. Even I could see that through the clear container, I didn't need to hear him say his banana split was not up to the usual standard. Sorry Dairy Queen, you missed for both of us tonight!!! Please work on this for everyone! We drove by the Saegertown Dairy Isle to actually have your ice cream, but were disappointed...

What a horrible horrible experience and will NEVER return! My family came through ordered out ice cream, got to the window the women working the window was unfriendly and rude. I have her my uncles bank card as he was treating us, she said I need I.D. I said excuse me? She said rudely “ it’s policy to have ID with any card. So I gave her my card then another lady took over giving me my order, again rudely!! I asked for her name and the other girls name and also the general manager. She looked at me and said “ I will just get my manager now” and slammed the window in my face. The manager came to the window and said “what is the problem?!?!?” I said I don’t want to discuss with her I just want the girls names and the general manager. She refused to provide that with me and shut the window. I have never seen such an upsetting scene in a drive thru...

Just wanted a strawberry milkshake. 2 problems here: When did everyone start putting domed tops on takeout milkshakes. And when you ask them to NOT put whipping cream on top, you'd think you grew a third eye. Don't get me wrong, DQ is not the only one doing this, I just generally find it annoying. Along with the open hard to deal with domed top, there was another problem. The strawberries in the shake were barley cut up. This is not a complaint about using whole fresh strawberries chopped into it, but in not chopping it up enough. Maybe my mistake was that I planned to try to drink it while driving... Big chunks of strawberry do not fit through a straw. Despite the flavor being very good and as expected. I was not safely able to drink it while driving and would have been equally annoyed if I had eaten in...
