Grocery Outlet — Local services in Vernon Township

I am originally from Lancaster, Pa. When I lived there, grocery outlet was my go to store. So understandablely, I got all amped up when I found out one was coming here. I went on the 22nd of February and it was crowded, for sure. The excitement was present in the crowd. The prices were mostly pretty good. I did find some organic products that were marked higher than they even go for on that retailers actual website. So that's something to be careful about. The produce was a fair deal for the most part though, again, some of it is best bought at perhaps Aldi or even giant eagle. The pet section was not terrible. I enjoyed the training treats I got for my dog and some canned food for my senior cat. I hope to see more for cats in the near future as they expand their inventory. The houseware section at the end of the aisles was very nice and the vitamin and protein powder selection was decent. My biggest complaint that I truly hope gets addressed in some way was the pound of ground beef I purchased. My partner actually put it in the cart and I should have checked it. It's sell by date was listed as the 23rd which is tomorrow. I am passionate about ground meat not being full price if it is that close to the best by/sell by date. I hope that doesn't remain consistent. If it about to spoil or it's date is approaching, some discount ought to be made to encourage it's purchase. I like this store it has some great deals and sales. But today I went in around 230 and I had a small basket of stuff. Maybe 10 items if that. I set my basket up on the belt and the cashier literally just dumps it out and tells me to throw it under the end. Disnt even ask just told me to do it. I set it down. She proceeds to scan my stuff and instead of sliding my bags towards me she leaves them by her bags leaving me to reach over the card machine to grab them and crinkles up half my receipt and hands it to me!
