Really cute! A few things to note: park in the Dairy Queen lot and use the crosswalk. You'll walk through the grass in front of the PennDOT building and it will get you right next to the wall. Try not to go after a rain, like I did today. Wear boots because it will be muddy! Probably a bad idea to take small children if you are planning on walking along the wall instead of looking at it from across the street. Not that they can do anything about it, but there's a little hillside next to one section of the wall (closest to the building). It was muddy and you can't back away from the wall enough to get a really good look at it without falling into traffic.

The Penndot Road Sign Sculpture Garden is a good way to take a break while traveling. It reminds me of the unique roadside attraction that use to dot the landscape before the Interstate Highways. The 1,000 foot long fence in Meadville, Pennsylvania is covered with discarded highway signs that have been recycled to form a group of unique sculptures depicting everything from a hot air balloon to school, stores and every animals. It is unique and a great place to stretch your legs when traveling through this part of Western Pennsylvania. Best of all it's FREE.

So this place is really cool and creative. It's located along the fence that borders the Penn DOT district office. It's not marked with a path so you had to walk along the grass to see it all. You can park in the lot next to it. Very cool set of different PA scenes and ideas all made from road signs. Worth a stop

Super kitsch, super well designed and a clever use of recycled signage that then makes you sad when you think about how many more other signs, in other states just get chucked into trash.

It's along a busy stretch of road connecting to the freeway, so if you can, be sure to park nearby and walk over to...
