Kitty's Place — Restaurant in Vero Beach

A fun discovery and close by, Kittys Place is evidence that quality of life and running a restaurant can be accomplished. Open M-F and closed Sat&Sun. Menu was simple and straightforward so choices were easy. A great selection of appetizers entrees and desserts. Inside atmosphere is cozy and nice. Kittys chose a really nice club music mix and it was being played softly in background. Very modern and appropriate. Staff were on point and stayed busy all evening even tho downpour outside made business tonight slow. Surprisingly many patrons made their way here in the rain. A mix of couples and women out to enjoy dinner together. This is a fairly small place and because of the rain was half full. Decor is very nice with a touch of boho, rattan and floral fabric chairs. They have done a great job with the atmosphere here and other local Vero restaurants should take notice. Menu was shellfish heavy so I went with the chicken Milanese selection. Sort of safe but very good and leftovers came home. It was served with a beautiful salad. Hot dish here is the rabbit pasta and my dining guest ordered that. It was very good and if you like goat cheese you will enjoy. Our appetizer was the pate served with chutney and zucchini bread that was fantastic. I could have had that and a salad and been happy. Be sure to order this dish. Flourless choc cake and creme brûlée with lavender for dessert and a Cappuccino and thank you yes they were wonderful. Wine selection great...

One of my favorite restaurants in all the world! An imaginative menu all prepared by the owner-chef, Kitty Wagner.. The menu varies from day to day, as the chef prepares what she can buy locally. Everything i have eaten there is amazing. There is a good wine list.The kitchen is part of the resturant. If you are fortunate enough to eat at the counter you can see your meal, and others as they are prepared. It is a great show. The staff is pleasant and professional. I read a FB post about Kitty’s yesterday and we decided to go last night… WOW! I’ve been to many high end and Michelin star restaurants over the years and I have to say, Kitty’s is right up there with the best. Atmosphere was super cool and the staff was on point.. The short, creative menu pays off.. Every bite was delicious down to the cappuccino (best we have ever had) and desserts.
