Rhonda's Seafood Market — Restaurant in Vero Beach

On a recent visit, I purchased 2 lbs of snapper for $66. While the fish was indeed fresh caught and tasted good, the pre-bagged slices were not consistently filleted or prepared. I had assumed that since the fish was sold in pre-packaged clear baggies, the snapper was well prepared. In fact, one baggie of the fish still had skin on and had been deboned yet the other baggie of fish fillets had a mix of skin on AND most of these pieces in the second baggie had NOT been deboned. since the fillets were in the baggie, I could not see the difference in the prep. I was very disappointed that given the price of the fish and lack of consistent prep, I had to remove the skin and bones so that the fish would cook consistently and in the end, I had much less...

IF FRESH FISH IS WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR this is the place to go! CLEAN....I always look for that first. All the various fresh fish are available to see already packaged, labeled, and priced and in huge ice coolers up front. I got Hog fish, Red Snapper, and Tile fish, along with the fish and salmon dip. I can't say enough good things about all of it. I was so pleased when I saw I got both filets of each fish in each package and that the fish had not just been sitting out in a case for who knows how long. Huge difference to me. Our favorite place to shop for fresh local seafood and great frozen items in the case. Today I also bought salad greens, asparagus, tomatoes as well as Gulf shrimp. Resisted the sweets but they looked delicious. My family appreciates that the owner requires masks. One never knows personal circumstances that motivate a private business owner to make their own decision on that topic.
