Captain D's — Restaurant in Vicksburg

We were out of town travelers and had the most unpleasant experience with the order taker at the front counter. She took everyone's order but ours and then when it was our turn, she walked away and into the dining area. When she came back she continued to ignore us. We waited about 5 more minutes before the order taker from the drive thru ( her name was Alexis) asked if our order had been taken. When i told her no she looked at the counter order taker and said, why didn't you take their order. The rude counter person threw up her hands and made a crazy looking face at her! Alexis was very nice to us and went out of her way to help us. The counter person, ignored me on another occasion when i went back to the counter to ask for a to-go bag. Finally, she walked to me and stared at me so i just asked for a bag, without her even asking what could she do for me. When we were on our way out the door my mother, who is terminally ill and rarely gets to leave the house, was oblivious to the way the front counter person had treated us told Alexis " Thank you for being so nice to us!" The rude counter person said really loud, " Oh, she's talking to you!" to Alexis and all the people in the front area laughed at her jibe and my mother. This was the most heartbreaking thing because my mother doesn't deserve to be laughed at and after spending my hard earned $40 there for lunch, none of us deserved to be treated this way. We have never been to this restaurant before and had no idea why she was so rude to us. It is pitiful how bad customer service is these days. Captain D's is drive thru only , or order ahead and curb side delivery in Vicksburg right ,due to the Pandemic restrictions. We received our food from the drive thru. My favorite there is the Catfish Special. It contains 3 pieces of Catfish filets, fried to perfection, hush puppies that are great and 3 sides for a little more than$11 with tax. I love their full 🌽 on the cob, about 45 cents extra, but well worth it! Their sides are limited, due to lack truck deliveries as a consequence of the Pandemic. However, they have excellent seasoned green beans which I got a double order of. It's always more food than I can eat, so I get two meals from it, which I feel is a bargain. Normally, they have several excellent sides to choose from: coleslaw, fried okra, mac and cheese ,Baked 🥔 for an additional 45 cents, green beans and a couple of other items. Since, their sides are limited at present, I would suggest asking what sides they have available, since the employee taking iur order didn't volunteer the information, til we order something that they didn't have. The food was excellent, the Service was good and they were generous with their Variety of condiments. Every Captain D's that we have gone to has the same high standards , as this one did. Worst service EVER! Went in and there was only 1 person being waited on with a total of 3 sets of customers already sitting down to eat and it still took about 5 minutes to be waited on due to the cashier, Aryon, purposely avoiding waiting on us. Before she took our order she walked away and the person running the drive thru who we are certain was the manager on duty said she would be with us shortly. When she finally did wait on us she acted as though it was a bother to take our order. Then we had to ask for her to give us our cups so we could get our drinks. Then we had to watch for another 16 minutes before we finally got our food while we watched a customer who was already eating go up and order more food and got that before we got our food.Although the food was good I would not suggest anyone go to this restraunt because depending on who you are they don't seem to care...
