This McDonald’s is my local one and it’s really grown on me over the past year. I’m usually a late night stopper and the late night crew is pretty cool and friendly, and fast. It’s rare even during busy times to wait an abnormally long time in the drive thru even with a very long line. I like to place my order through the mobile app and if it’s before 9 I’ll do curbside and just pull in the assigned parking spots and wait for my order which is a great time to check your phone & return messages or tik-tok scroll, whatever. I have waited a long time a few visits but normally it’s not too bad. Preordering through the mobile app just saves so much time for everyone involved and it’s made my McDonalds so much more efficient and quick. The only criticism I have is going inside if I have to. If it’s later and no one is at the counter they will straight ignore you even though the employees see you clearly standing there waiting. My son who is shy would stand there all day if I let him. If I send him in and he’s not out quickly I get annoyed because I know what they’re doing so I charge in there and loudly announce my presence until an annoyed employee acknowledges me. That’s just ridiculous. It’s the classic “not my job” mentality of low level employees which is to be expected at McDonalds. It’s not a glamorous job or high paying. Don’t expect college graduates with peppy attitudes at any McDonalds. It was my first job when I was 14 and it was the worse job ever so I feel for them. McDonald’s culture places little value or attention on employee appreciation or above the bar customer service, there’s high turnover; so excellence, best practices, and motivation is non-existent… knowing all this I must say that this McDonalds is pretty good for what it is. There’s an older gentleman who works late shift sometimes who is on it and takes pride in his work no doubt, and I know everything is right when I see him. I wish I knew his name, he should be recognized for his excellence. It’s a secret some people know, usually older folks with a bit of life experience and Jesus, that whatever you do no matter how unimportant it may appear, or low paying, taking pride and doing your best in everything you do shows the character of a good person with integrity, and he will be recognized for it and promoted in life one way or another. If not by people, by God. Kids coming into the work force these days lacking education think doing the bare minimum is more than good enough. It’s only good enough if you want a bare minimum life. There’s your life tip for the day! Hope it inspires someone! All in all, Mirror Lake McDonalds is above par than what is normally expected out of a McDonald’s, so I recommend. I go there A LOT if you haven’t already figured that out, so I’m a pretty credible source on this one. 4 stars is an adequate score but ONLY if being compared to...
Read moreThe Bremen McDonald's is so horrible! They have only gotten our order correct twice in the past three months! Every time we go there they get my kids burgers wrong and it usually takes two or more attempts before they get it correct. Last week it was like that and they forgot their fries as well! In addition to that they forgot my nuggets and my husbands burger wasn't plain as its always ordered, it had everything on it! He had food allergies! This happens all the time! Not cool! I had to wait and make repeated trips that lasted over a half hour. By the time I was able to sit down my fries were cold and they were over half way done eating. We as a family have been eating there at least two times a month for years now and my husband more often than that on the days he works. I've about had it. It takes a lot to get me to this point. I've worked in the food industry myself over the past 20 years I understand that everybody has bad days every now and then and there are days when you're short staffed, but when you are needing to feed your hungry children and the 2nd shift cashier literally runs out in the middle of taking our order to talk to her friends who were waiting for her to get off work 15 minutes later, that is UNACCEPTABLE! I only know this because I had to stand there waving my hand so I could get my corrected burger that had been sitting there a minute or so while she was jumping up and down bragging that she couldn't wait to leave and refused to help her coworkers because it was almost time for her to go. I am fed up! And what sucks is that it's my sons favorite place to eat! I wish they would build one closer to us and be more careful...
Read moreI have given this place many chances, but one day set me off. I went in to grab some food before going into work. I was in my scrubs, and went inside for a breakfast biscuit and a coffee. It took 25 minutes for them to get me a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit and iced coffee. There were two people in front of me. One man was waiting for his food when I went in, and I got my food before him; his order wasn’t difficult either. The woman in front of me ordered medium fries for her crying son, and she had to wait about five minutes, which doesn't sound long, but I could see that there were fries already made, and they made her wait. There were only a few people in the drive through, and there were FOURTEEN workers, INCLUDING a manager, who was the only one seeming to do something. She was the one who got the fries and ran them out to the mom and her son, apologizing. McDonalds is a FAST food place. They didn't even get me my coffee until after I got my ONE breakfast biscuit, TWENTY-FIVE minutes after I ordered it. And even then, my coffee order was wrong, and I told them as they were making it. I will never order from this establishment again, and I will be sure to tell people to never eat there. Fourteen workers, two people at the drive through window, four cooks at the drills, the others wandering around doing other meaningless chores, and most were standing around talking. On top of that, there were very few customers, both in the building and in the drivethru lane....
