I have been delaying this review for the past 2 weeks since I have dined here, simply due to busyness with work and my overall forgetfulness. However I feel I need to express my own personal feelings for this restaurant that clearly many love. I had never dined here before although I did browse the menu prior. I dined here about an hour after they opened for their dinner hours.
My first impression was being stunned by the decor, it was truly lovely both inside and out. However the charm would soon wear off. I walked in, sat at the sushi bar. I glanced to my right to see a man sitting three seats away from me. By his appearance I assumed him a busboy and gave a curt smile. To my utter horror he was my server. This grotesque man had a gaunt face, bad teeth, and was sweating PROFUSELY from the start of my meal to the end. Not at all appealing when you plan to eat. I apologize if I seem vain, however if he was my car mechanic I would not mind his appearance. Sadly he was serving me my food, while touching his sweat with his hands and sleeve. I was not happy. He barely spoke English as well, and I soon found out I could not ask any questions about the menu. My words were either repeated to me or I was just greeted with that "I have no clue what you are saying" smile.
I specifically asked if they served nigiri or if they only had sushi, because the menu only said "sushi". Now, I am a bit of a connoisseur on this. I KNOW the difference between what most people know as 'sushi' and 'nigiri'. I only got that "look" again when I asked. So I took a chance and ordered the tuna "sushi" and was pleasantly greeted with nigiri. It was fresh and I was pleased. I ordered some eel as well, however the eel sauce tasted as though it was made heavily with soy sauce, which gave it a very salty flavor that is uncommon with eel sauce. It was 'ok' but definitely would not order it again, despite the eel itself being cooked to perfection. I could not even ask the sushi chef any questions, or I got that same 'look' as well. Funny thing is, when your hostess is a blonde woman that speaks clear English and the menu is not in two languages, you ASSUME that the staff that will be waiting on you can speak English. Sadly this was not the case. It made my dining experience very frustrating.
My entree then came, and sadly it too was lacking. I ordered the teriyaki chicken. The chicken itself was EXCEPTIONALLY dry. It was like the chef had simply thrown a breast onto the grill with no seasonings or anything to keep it moist, then tossed it on the plate with teriyaki sauce on top. Now the sauce was PERFECT. Very sweet and just the way I like it. However it cannot add moisture to such a dry meat and I only picked at my food and had eaten just a few pieces before I took the rest home to make it look good.
Needless to say I will give this restaurant one more chance. I will try another dish that is very different from what I ordered, to see if they get THAT right or not. However if the service is the same and I cannot ask any questions of my server because they do not understand English, I will most likely not visit this place again. It is quite a shame because the decor is lovely and I had such high hopes from all the good reviews here. Thank you for reading and I hope that one of the readers is the restaurant owner/manager because what I had to endure does not seem to be the norm here by ALL the 'good' reviews, and SHOULD...

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Asiana's Restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience. The culinary journey began with the tantalizing volcano chicken, while my friend opted for the equally delightful sesame chicken. The food alone was enough to impress, but there was so much more to this restaurant that made it truly special.
First and foremost, the flavors of the volcano chicken were absolutely divine. The succulent chicken pieces were cooked to perfection, coated in a mouthwatering sauce that offered just the right balance of sweetness and heat. It was a culinary explosion of flavors that left me craving more with every bite. The sesame chicken was equally remarkable, with its crispy coating and tender chicken, complemented by a delightful sesame glaze. Each dish showcased the chef's expertise and attention to detail.
As for the atmosphere, Asiana's Restaurant managed to strike a balance between cozy and vibrant. The decor was tasteful, and the soft lighting created an inviting ambiance. However, I must admit that the noise level did rise at times, making it slightly challenging to hold conversations. Nevertheless, the lively atmosphere added a certain energy to the dining experience, and it didn't detract significantly from our overall enjoyment.
While we didn't have the opportunity to try the hibachi side of the restaurant, I observed several tables where skilled chefs showcased their talents, preparing dishes with flair and precision. The sizzling sounds and enticing aromas coming from the hibachi grill only heightened our curiosity, and it's definitely something I plan to explore on my next visit.
The service at Asiana's Restaurant was commendable. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They provided helpful suggestions and ensured that our dining experience was seamless from start to finish.
In conclusion, Asiana's Restaurant is a culinary gem that excels in delivering delicious Asian cuisine. From the remarkable volcano chicken to the delightful sesame chicken, each dish is a testament to the chef's skill and culinary creativity. While the noise level could be a minor drawback, the overall atmosphere is still enjoyable, making it a perfect spot for an engaging meal with friends or family. Don't forget to explore the hibachi side for an interactive and exciting dining experience. I highly recommend Asiana's Restaurant to anyone looking for a flavorful adventure that will leave a lasting impression.

Read moreI was treated SO rudely I would not recommend anyone to go here! I even sent an email to the management and surprise surprise I never heard back. They stop serving lunch at 2:30 and I came at 2:20 last Thursday. The hostess sat me and said "it's still before 2:30 so I'll get you a seat." I was by myself and sat at the sushi bar. I could hear the sighs from the staff even though there was another woman sitting at the sushi bar and another table of 4 laughing away. The waiter came up and just stood there, didn't say anything and sighed under his breath. He waited until I gave my order. I knew I had to decide quickly so I went with the 2 roll lunch special which came with a side salad. He said "Water to drink?" (as if I even had an option at that point given his negative attitude) I said "yes please" and he turned around and left. After he punched it into the computer I heard the ticket print up in the kitchen and again, a loud sigh of disappointment from the staff. A few minutes later I was brought my salad, which looked very skimpy, but I ate it without complaining. Then the sushi chef came out. I could tell he was annoyed that I was making him work but in addition to that he came out in his large, puffy, winter jacket so he could make a point to let me know that I was annoying him. After he finished making my rolls (which were very basic Yellowtail Roll, and Spicy Salmon roll) he plopped them on the high counter and made me get up and get them. I hurried to eat them as I could tell I was not welcome there. I asked for a small box and the check. I was in and out of there in 20 minutes which was only 10 minutes after they stopped serving lunch. Now I can tell you coming from someone who has worked in the service industry for over 10 years that I would have NEVER treated a customer like this and not only was it 1 person it was everyone. If they thought it was too close to them being done with lunch the hostess should have told me and I would have been just fine with it and went elsewhere, but when you seat me you are accepting to provide customer service and a meal that's worth the $11+ I paid (which included a tip that was not deserved). I had emailed the manager and told them about my experience of which I have never heard back. I also told them that we take large groups of people there from my work quite frequently and I have told all my staff and management to not go there anymore. This is what you get for not showing any respect to paying customers. That's at least a $1,000/month income cut that this cost them. I would recommend going to Fujiama before ever...
