If you’re looking for fresh, well-made bagels, this is a good spot. Their bagels have a good texture—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside—and come in a nice variety of flavors. They stick to the basics, offering butter and cream cheese as toppings, so if you’re looking for a full breakfast sandwich, you’ll need to take your bagels home and build it yourself.
A few things to keep in mind: they’re cash-only, so come prepared. There’s also no toaster on-site, which may be a dealbreaker for those who prefer a toasted bagel. The shop focuses on simplicity—just bagels and a few spreads—so if you’re expecting eggs or a full breakfast menu, this isn’t the place.

Read moreStraight up refuses to toast bagels. I’ve honestly never heard of such a thing. Sounds like something out of a Seinfeld episode. If you literally have to tell every customer every transaction that you don’t toast bagels you’re clearly doing something wrong. Bagels were quite undercooked and would have been better if they simply toasted as I had requested. There’s nothing sacrilegious about toasting bagels. The whole refusal is just very bizarre and off putting. It’s one thing to suggest that your customers try without toasting, it’s another thing to refuse to do so. Also cash only. No need to deal with a...
