Rather disappointing. We came for a late afternoon lunch/supper before a movie. The bread delivered promptly was delicious, and the signature spritzer was tasty. Unfortunately what followed was uninspired, bland and not cooked well. We ordered appetizers, salad and a pizza. Instead of staggering the food it all came at once in a heap that was not hot or fresh. The pizza looked and tasted like it was not freshly made, but instead done on a pre-prepared crust: it arrived lukewarm, soggy and undercooked with rubbery little slabs of cheese. It tasted more like something one might get at an airport not in New York. The mushroom soufflé bore little resemblance to a soufflé - it too lukewarm - was mushy and had more of a sort of mousse texture with an odd cream sauce. The Parmesan cracker was the best part. The pear and goat cheese salad was similarly flavorless, with greens that looked like they had been scooped from a mix greens bag, many of the leaves yellow and wilted. We were disappointed, given that this is the bistro style sister of a Michelin starred restaurant...
Read moreCafe Alaia has been a staple of my pandemic life, so I've watched eagerly as Aperiti (a different look from the same owner) set up shop on Garth (the smaller location Alaia inhabited when it first moved to Eastchester).
We were a party of three, arriving around 630, and found no wait and a choice of tables. Aperiti has a number of high top outdoor tables, as well as indoor seating for various types of parties. The couch style benches are a nice touch.
The decor is well considered, evoking a similar quality as Alaia, in a more casual environment.
I tried each of the signature cocktails, which, while classic, are refreshingly unique for Garth. We ordered a number of small plates to share, the quality of all of the food was wonderful, as expected. The spec wrapped dates stood out as something I will be ordering again soon.
All in all, I'll be back in the near future, and assuming a similar experience, expect to find Aperiti a regular stop for a light bite to eat, well crafted cocktail, or bottle of wine with the girlfriend.

Read moreAperiti Osteria, located in Scarsdale, is such a lovely spot for Italian + Mediterranean fare!! I visited this place for the first time this weekend - my friend & I had the best experience. The atmosphere inside of Aperiti is warm and cozy, and the staff are so wonderfully kind + accommodating. Their food is SO delicious, and perfect for sharing!! For salad, we tried the Arugula (so fresh + flavorful). For pizza, the Margherita was SO good (and it was the perfect portion size). We also got a side of their Truffle Fries, which was the perfect addition to each of the dishes we shared. For dessert, try their take on an Italian Tartufo (it was so delicious and presented so beautifully). For cocktails, I highly recommend their Aperol Spritz (they make a great one)!!
Our experience was so good that my friend and I literally camped at our table for almost 3 hours. Despite this, the staff at Aperiti were so, so kind - we weren't rushed or hurried out the door. 10/10 experience, I cannot recommend this...
