Over the weekend we stopped here as we were getting ready to jump back on the road for a 12+ hr drive. Upon arrival there was a line in drivethru but definitely nothing that was too bad. After a few minutes of us not moving I decided to go inside to use the rest room. Both restrooms were locked. I knocked on the designated door but didn't hear anything over the music that was playing. One restroom was labeled for employees, the other for customers only. I didn't think matters as my friend was going through drive thru placing the order.
I waited for about 5+mins, then went back outside to see if my friend had moved. She hadn't moved. I let her know someone is in the rest room so I'm going to keep waiting inside. I go back inside and stood for maybe another 4/ 5mins. After making eye contact briefly with, an employee named Josh( per the name tag) several times, I finally, asked if I needed a key for the bathroom. He quickly stated " If the door is locked then someone is in there." And proceeded as he was. After standing for another 5+mins, a female worker asked Josh if I was waiting for the bathroom & if there was someone in the bathroom. He replied "I have no idea." And continued ... She although very busy, stopped what she was doing, knocked really loudly on the door waited to see if someone answered. There was no answer so she was able to open the door, noticed there was no tissue and ensured I had some before I attempted to use the restroom. In total it felt like roughly 15mins before I was able to use the bathroom not because either stall was just occupied but because honestly Josh was overall very dismissive.
I went back outside & my friend was at the window waiting on her drink in drive thru. She noticed how long it took and I let her know what I experienced. She was shocked by that experience from this establishment but not surprised based on the part of town we were in.
Needless to say, my friend absolutely loved her drink. Despite the very long wait she was pleased. Because her drink was what she needed & wanted and because the young gentleman who took care of her at the drive thru window was so polite and made her chuckle I rated this a 2vs the 1. 1 star for the drink, 1 star for the two employees who were pleasant.
Thank you to the two employees who were pleasant or at least attempted to make the experience pleasant.
I can honestly I've never received such nonchalant/ dismissiveness from any Starbucks I've been to. Josh inquired about someone going on their break so he could've possibly been a lead that Sunday, but I'm not sure. Just a suggestion you never know who is passing through or what their situation is so try to LOOK at those you may serve vs just...
Read moreThe quality of service has gone down hill. This new generation or young employees have a real challenge with comprehension and accountability. They modify drinks adding too much or ignoring request like no water. As if a customer is not going to recognize the difference in taste. I love this company and will still fraternize. This review is about the experiences I have had with the 4 Starbucks near me, below:
Eastwest Connector-Austell, GA Atlanta rd-Smyrna, Ga Cumberland pkwy Atlanta, GA North side Dr-Sandy Springs/Atl GA
Never in 20 years of business, getting coffee if not daily, at least every-other day and sometimes multiple times a day (for context), have I ever had to argue to get a drink corrected or deal with an unpleasant attitude until 2023 at the Northside Drive location. I didnt report it because I didnt have time to. I simply changed locations. Another incident my drink was incorrect and instead of just correcting it, the drive thru attendant went to investigate who made the drink, then cones back and says “well I aint make it” so they’ll take of you and walked away, then the manager comes to the window and ask to see my receipt, mind you I had not left the window, then goes back and brings me the correct drink- an additional 17minutes after waiting 22 minutes in the drive thru.
Some of these locations have an automated greeting in the drive thru.🤔
I am an avid believer in hiring young because they can be molded, the experience in service cultivates a fundamental law in communications that will benefit them in many faucets of business as they grow.
Baristas’ memorizing the menu should be tested
Aptitude test to show ones cognitive skills should be tested, not to discriminate, but to evaluate if this individual is or can be molded to demonstrate the company’s core values
The opportunity lies in either the training or education for the positions OR the hiring requirements have become too lax or are just not being considered…and it could even be a combination of both.
Please fix this Starbucks!

Read moreAwful experience - they close at 9PM, I arrived at 8:33PM upon discovering both doors had been locked I made eye contact with an employee who directed me using hand gestures presumably to inform me to utilize the drive through. I didn’t bring a car; I walked and I can see my mobile order which was labeled as “In store pick-up”on the app in plain view waiting for me. I comply with his request and walk to the drive through window where I’m greeted by the rudest barista I’ve ever had the unfortunate fate of meeting who tells me exactly what I figured he was gesturing for and instead of simply getting my food and handing it to me, he proceeds to close the window! I eventually got my food after slipping my hand in and demanding it - next time don’t close your doors 30 minutes early and expect customers to know. There is no mobile order cut-off for in store pickup as at this location like the manager tried telling me. Having a “bad day” as the manager said is not an acceptable reason to close early and hold food hostage. Corporate will be getting a call Monday morning. I get it - baristas are treated poorly on occasion and it’s a hard job but I didn’t start it. Don’t project your bad day on me - the customer who just wants what...
