What the heck was going on last evening? We visited for dinner ahead of the Sting concert - and they were trying to drive off customers. When we arrived around 6 pm, we could see *every chair inside was put up on tables. The first door pulled was also locked - so we thought it was closed for the day. When we went in, we were informed by a female worker that no one could sit inside. They were “scrubbing the floors.” She basically shooed us away and said we could “eat outside.” 👀 In the hot, direct sun on the sidewalk.. which we did, since we had no choice.
Not one chair was available in the entire dining area. And a steady stream of ppl filed through the place, which is typical of here. So it really boggles the mind that they would choose to do this in the middle of a busy shift during daylight hours. I’ve worked the food business and this is not how you operate. You don’t run ppl off hours before close - and you mop up the whole place at the *end of day. (At least clean just one side, while the other is left open. Smh)
To top it all off - 20 min went by before any floor cleaning happened, and then she (woman w/ ballcap) drenched one half of the floor in water. There was a lake in front of the bathrooms - barring anyone from using them. We were in disbelief.
This has been my go-to location since my first-ever Chipotle experience this spring. I had a 5-star visit then and one subsequent visit, but it has steadily declined ever since, due to very lopsided service. Most of the workers look absolutely* miserable. The young woman last night making my burrito bowl threw the lid on so fast, I didn’t get to ask for everything. She looked one topping request from walking off the job. Then after I asked politely for cheese, she did it, and then roughly plopped everything in the bag.
Management: please* treat your employees well, many clearly loathe working here. Just to be clear this isn’t an unfair review: I gave it 3 stars because the food was awesome, as always. But service pretty bad. Lynnhaven,...
Read morewe usually have a bad experience with this location but we really were in the mood for Chipotle and it had been several months since we had it and hoped that maybe we would have a better night, so last night on Sept 22 around 8:30pm i placed an order on my Chipotle app for two bowls and large queso... upon arriving i got the notification that it was ready in the pick up area... when i walked in there was no food in the pick up area. One employee asked if i was picking up doordash or personal, i told him it was personal and he claimed that it was still being made and pointed to the employee making my food that was talking with another guy on my side of the counter. Bowl 1 - Double rice, Double shredded cheese, 1/2 chicken 1/2 steak, side of sour cream, side of hot salsa and queso. Bowl 2 - Rice, Brisket, salsa, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, fajita veggies. Once it was done, i took my order and left, got home to discover both bowls were made wrong. My fiance went back to the store to get the order remade. No apology was given, but instead employees got defensive and gave out excuses to why the order was wrong.
Bowl 1 was drowning in sour cream and had chunky salsa, lettuce and black beans.
Bowl 2- wrong meats, no veggies, with beans.
employee claimed that they didnt have veggies so they substitued beans (never asked me if i was okay with that even though i was waiting for them to finish making it) and that mistakes happen so they dont know why we took it personal.... We asked if they would just give us a bag of chips for the inconvience and they wanted to charge us for it. We denied the chips and left with another bad experience. Wasted $40. Its customer service like that, that makes you wanna go to Moes or Taco...
Read moreI have ordered online from them twice. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.... Should've known from my first experience that their customer service is AWFUL. Both times I ordered, the wait time was an hour to make 1 burrito bowl according to the website. After placing the orders, I called and explained that I work at a building one street down and wanted to see if I could pick up my meal any sooner than an hour... The first time I called, the girl answered the phone in a very irritated tone and told me to "hold on" and started talking to her coworkers while I waited on the phone. I finally got a chance to ask her if I could pick up my order sooner and she said "no, you need to pick up when the website says to pick up.... we are slammed and can't make you meal any sooner than what it told you." (all said in a very annoyed tone). No apology, nothing. My coworker went to pick up the meal anyway and said there was not 1 person in line.
Same thing happened the second time except the girl had a less irritated tone of voice.
Customer service should be the backbone of your business....especially considering all of the contaminations and recalls you've had lately... not sure you can afford to have horrible customer...
