El Parian Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

We are regulars to this place maybe every month or so. The food is always good and the is usually reasonable. But tonight left us thinking otherwise. Earlier in the night the waitress came to our table and even though we didn't understand her totally she was saying something about the tip and to say yes when the man comes around with ice cream. We had just gotten our dinner, we weren't even ready for ice cream much less tipping her yet. This was about 7 30 8 o clock. We were there to celebrate my birthday this night. When she brought the bill it was printed in bold letters the total without tax being $31 and change. Then tax was added on that was another $3 and change. And then it said in bold letters $37 and change. She came and took payment as well as the original receipt. When she came back after running my card she gave me a different receipt that said the total was $37 and change, the tax was now $4 and change and the total was now $42 and change. We came here for lunch because we found a coupon for this Mexican food restaurant and had not eaten here before. We had no issues what so ever with the coupon. They have several coupon offers so pay attention to their offers as they are awesome! If you might not understand the offer just ask the waitress or waiter, they are happy to help you. Even though it was in the low 90's I wanted coffee, and he brewed it fresh! I'm a coffee drinker and it was an excellent cup! The food was just as amazing. We ordered the Taco salad and a Burrito and we were not disappointed. It was a very nice lunch. We liked the atmosphere with the music and the restaurant was very clean and appealing. We will definately come back. Service was quick and efficient too. Our waitress was absolutely delightful! Very friendly and checked on us regularly. This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I loved it! When I walked in, I was greeted by the staff and immediately tended to. I loved the atmosphere, the decor, and the overall appearance! It was very clean in there as well. The lady at the front who took my order was very polite and had great customer service! Now to the food lol I was amazed at how reasonable the prices were!! And there were so many options available for me considering my dietary restrictions. I ordered the mushroom fajitas with rice and beans and it was very good! The other order for my bf was the chicken quesadilla which was really good according to him. The order came with chips and dip as well. The portion size was adequate for the price.
