Firehouse Subs Indian River — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

2nd update: look, I really love firehouse subs and I can't stay away. The one by my job is fantastic (Hilltop) and i get lunch there and the Landstown location often. I tried this Indian river location again during a good promo they had, and there was once again more than double the wait than the quoted time. Additionally the team members working (3, presenting as 2 male 1 female) were discussing their frustration with all the orders coming in, complaining about the people waiting inside, and then proceeded to share details about nudes one of the guys recieved. The female made sure that the guys knew that she would not be sleeping with either of them, loudly. You want to report situations like that to a manager but realistically one of them probably was a manager 😆

First review: ETA - I had already reached out to support like they mentioned below in their reply. They offered me 100 points onto a rewards balance for the hour wait. The cheapest reward is 4000 points, so the firehouse support team thought this issue was worth a nibble of brownie

I had a really disappointing experience that resulted in having to wait almost an hour for my order (in the restaurant) after the app quoted me 15 minutes. Additionally, when i finally got my order (2 subs), the staff member acted annoyed that they were so busy.I reached out to their customer service and my only compensation for having to wait almost an hour for a 15 minute quote was 100 points in the app ($1). No Stars! Minus that star that you have to give them to write a review. First and last time we will ever visit this Firehouse location. We did an online order for pick-up last night and were totally disappointed with the quality of the food our order was wrong and they did not have soup so had to take the chili which I did not want. Ordered on line and the sandwich that they gave was only turkey and cheese with mayo, not the Turkey Bacon Ranch™ Smoked turkey breast, pepper bacon, melted sharp cheddar cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and creamy peppercorn ranch dressing. as described as the sandwich and we added on salt, pepper, oil and vinegar and got nothing but a small like child size meat and cheese only very disappointing. When we arrived to get the order they told us that they were out of soup only had chili left. The workers were arguing and yelling with a lady in the store about her order that was wrong and that should have been a sign for us, but we already ordered online and paid. They were actually fighting with each other, going back and forth and was so unprofessional. It made us feel uncomfortable. I notified customer service online and am awaiting a response from them. It felt very confrontational and like things could quickly escalate, not sure if the police were called because we wanted to get out and run away! I recently had the pleasure of visiting Firehouse Subs off Indian River Rd. and Kempsville, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish, as each visit typically is!

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly, making me feel as if they know me on a personal level, which they should by now as many times as I’ve been in there. It’s clear that they take pride in their work, and their passion for customer service truly shines.

I ordered the Veggie sub toasted and the Italian sub cold, and it was nothing short of delicious. Everything is made the same way every time, regardless of who prepares my subs. The portion size was generous, making it a fantastic value for the quality.

What impressed me the most was how quickly my food was prepared and ready for me to pick up. The timing was perfect, allowing me to grab a meal without feeling rushed or late for my next task.

Overall, my visit to Firehouse Subs exceeded my expectations once again. The combination of exceptional customer service, mouthwatering food, and timely preparation made for a fantastic dining experience. I can’t wait to return and try more from their extensive menu. Highly...
