Okay, I'm gonna incorporate two visits. Firstly, im a vegetarian who had no idea five guys had any food I could go near. After a fellow vegetarian and coworker got delivery I was very confused until they explained abt the veggie sandwiches.
Visit one, veggie sandwich w cheese and regular fries extra salt. First time inside, the man ringing me was polite and didn't rush me as a took few moments to make a decision on what toppings I wanted. There was only one guy working the line. Younger guy, he made my sandwich, dropped my fries, bagged my order. It was an easy and pleasant experience as there was no one there at the time (two ppl arrived after me). I got home and was pleasantly in surprised. Being that the veggie sandwich does not have a patty and I also removed the mushrooms, it was still a well filled out sandwich on the bun. It wasn't messy, easy to handle and had good flavour. The fries were next level. Perfectly crisp and just enough salt! FG is pricey for what they offer, but the food was good enough for me to want to go again.
Visit two was not so great. The restaurant experience was still good, I was greeted by a young girl and she was helpful in my decision on whether or not to try a milkshake. I paid (same order as 1st visit plus the shake), then she and another made my food. I get home. Fries are limp. Not a good crisp fry at all and most of them had no salt at all, I didn't even finish them they were that bad. The sandwich was a mess. Just a messy mound in the wrapper and I dont know what happened but there was ZERO flavour. Not only was there zero flavour, it just didn't taste good at all. I dont know what or why it was different but it was a drastic 180. Again, I didn't finish it. Milkshake was fine but overpriced.
This place is for burger people. And it's far too expensive for me to risk bad food again. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. So I'd say, vegetarians use as a last resort. If your friends are adamant on going there, just tell them you'll be at the noodle shop a...
Read moreMy wife felt like having burgers and fries so we went here since it was around the area instead of going to the usual golden arches for quick burgers and fries. It's also been a while since we had Five Guys and this was our first time at this location.
Coming in, the restaurant was pretty clean. When you go by the counter, the huge box of peanuts were open and ready for you to pick up from. My wife ordered first and asked if they still do lettuce wraps for the burger instead of a bun. She got asked if it was for dietary reasons or preference... I don't believe this was asked before unless they've been doing it for a few years now. Again, it's been a while since I've been to a Five Guys location. Anyway, I ordered the same thing. For two lettuce wrapped burger meal (shared fries and two regular drinks), the total came out to be more than $40. Okay, I don't mind since I know they usually give a huge burger and two handful fries. But the thing I did mind was the weird vibe that the employee had when we asked for lettuce wraps. I felt like she was judging us a little.
Moving on, as we waited inside, they had called out our order and my wife went to the counter to pick it up. She went through the bag and simply asked if everything we ordered was in the bag. She always asks this because sometimes employees from different restaurants forgets to add a few things on the bag and we would have to return to pick up the missing items. Basically, its just her habit at this point. I watched from the table and saw the lady give a weird look at my wife, who was still checking the bag, before she noticed that I was watching the whole thing as it transpired. She, then, turned away from my gaze and seemingly tried to look as if nothing happened.
Fresh burgers and a good amount of nicely seasoned...
Read moreFive Guys is a casual fast food restaurant specializing in the classic Hamburger, Fries, and drink. Also served are milkshakes and chicken sandwiches as well. But Five Guys limits their menu to the basics, so that they may focus on quality. It seems to work well. The restaurant atmosphere is relaxed and there is no need to dress fancy to come eat here. The food is high quality and free of many preservatives used by a lot of fast food chains. For this reason, the prices are a bit more than the average fast food establishment. But you will 100% get a meal worth your money. Upon entering you are greeted and you walk up to a counter to place your order. You are given an order number. Once your number is called, you walk to another area of the counter to pick up your order. Seating is available at various tables and you are able to sit anywhere you like. The dining area is very spacious, so you won't feel crowded. It is well lit and the red/white decor is cheerful and inviting. This particular site sits on the edge of a small strip of restaurants and shops and has entrances on both sides of the strip. Parking is in a lot shared by other businesses in the strip and is easy to navigate. I would absolutely...
