I give this place 4 stars, not because of the food but because it has so much potential. The food is 5 star without a doubt but the place is mobile. Currently he's running it out of a business that shut down next to Kung fu tea. The menu is a bit small but thats only because they haven't established a home building. However, the food is amazing. This is the first place I have found where the gumbo and grits were close to New Orleans authentic. They don't serve drinks with there food fo whatever reason so dinning in isn't ideal. Grits to Gumbo is delicious! I've had their Banana Foster French Toast before. What a sweet, yummy way to start the day! The Low Country Shrimp and Grits is also a tasty breakfast. It's nice to know a place that does grits well. Yesterday, I went in for lunch and had the Creole Fried Chicken Poboy. Man, that thing was great! It is my new favorite at Grits to Gumbo. That chicken has a thin, but really crisp, fried outside; with nice, juicy chicken inside. Fried pickles on that. Tomatoes and lettice, tasty sauce and a slightly crunchy roll. 10/10 for me. My fiancé and I were craving some gumbo, but didn't know any spots. We googled it and this place was the first one to come up. The reviews were all positive so we tried it out. Did not disappoint. I called in as I could not find it and the guy who answered was so polite. We went in, he showed us the menus and we already knew what we wanted lol. He was so polite and friendly.
